Just days after Donald Trump became the presumptive presidential candidate for the Republican party, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has publicly announced he will not support or vote for The Donald.

The American Presidency is an office that goes beyond just politics. It requires of its occupant great fortitude and humility and the temperament and strong character to deal with the unexpected challenges that will inevitably impact our nation in the next four years.

Donald Trump has not demonstrated that temperament or strength of character. He has not displayed a respect for the Constitution. And, he is not a consistent conservative. These are all reasons why I cannot support his candidacy.

Hillary Clinton has proven to be an untrustworthy liberal politician who, if elected, would present a third term of the disastrous foreign and economic policy agenda of Barack Obama.

In November, I will not vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, but I will support principled conservatives at the state and federal levels, just as I have done my entire life. For Republicans, there is no greater priority than ensuring we keep control of both chambers of Congress. I look forward to working hard for great conservatives in the Senate and House in the coming months.

Jeb Bush To Endorse Sen. Ted Cruz For Antidote To Donald Trump's 'Divisiveness'

As Sen. Ted Cruz slowly emerges as the Republican's only possible "anti-Trump" candidate, word comes that former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will endorse Cruz today citing the "divisiveness and vulgarity" of current front-runner Donald Trump.

Via Politico:

Cruz, in New York City on Wednesday, planned to celebrate with a victory lap of three network morning shows. The endorsement comes 32 days after a beaten Bush dropped out of the GOP presidential race, and eight days since Sen. Marco Rubio abandoned his own quest after being rebuffed by Bush, his fellow Floridian and one-time mentor.

Bush says in a statement to be released by the Cruz campaign: “Ted is a consistent, principled conservative who has demonstrated the ability to appeal to voters and win primary contests.”

“For the sake of our party and country, we must move to overcome the divisiveness and vulgarity Donald Trump has brought into the political arena, or we will certainly lose our chance to defeat the Democratic nominee and reverse President Obama’s failed policies,” the statement continues.

Jeb Bush Drops Out

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has closed up shop after a dismal showing in the first three contests to be the 2016 Republican candidate for president.

A distant 4th place showing in South Carolina yesterday - getting only 8% of the vote - sealed Jeb's fate.

Prior to South Carolina, there were poor showings in New Hampshire (4th place with 11%) and Iowa (6th place with only 2.8%).

Many pundits say it was just the wrong year for such an established political name. I personally felt no one wanted another Bush in the White House again after the sad state his brother left the country in back in 2008 losing over 700,000 jobs a month.

Guess what happens when you type JebBush.com into your browser?

Kinda funny. Kinda not.

As it turns out, the Bush campaign doesn't own jebbush.com. The domain name is owned by a company called Fabulous.com Pty Ltd., an Australian company that helps people monetize their internet domain names. The site was apparently created on Nov. 19, 1997 and updated on Oct. 20, 2015, according to a domain registration search.

Both Jeb Bush's and Donald Trump's campaigns have denied involvement.

The Bush campaign also doesn't own www.jebbushforpresident.com. That domain name is owned by a gay couple encouraging readers to "have a Chat, Share Viewpoints, and Learn from Each Other." Jebbushforpresident.net is an anti-Bush site created by "a loyal Florida Republican in the hope of saving the Republican party from supporting Jeb Bush for President."

Seriously. He couldn't even register his own domain. How is he going to be president?

Jeb Bush Sucks Up To NRA, Twitterverse Laughs Out Loud

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush made a total suck-up move to the NRA this afternoon on Twitter by tweeting the above image with just the single word, "America."

You would think after all his years in politics, Jeb would be just a tad more savvy and subtle.

But, no.

Jeb! Bush Brings In His Big Guns

In the closing days of the New Hampshire primary, GOP White House hopeful Jeb! Bush brings in his biggest guns - brother George W and still popular mom, Barbara - hoping for some kind of surge.

I would bet he was probably hoping to not launch these ads this early in the campaign season.

Says Mama Bush - “He’s so polite. We brought him up that way, and he does not brag like some people we know." Asked who she was talking about, she said, “I can’t remember.”

Jeb Bush Reduced To Asking For Applause On Campaign Trail

So it's come to this.

After a sixth place finish in Iowa (only 2.8 percent of the vote), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is reduced to begging for applause at his campaign stops.

From the New York Times:

Mr. Bush finished a fiery riff about protecting the country as commander in chief — “I won’t be out here blowharding, talking a big game without backing it up,” he said — and was met with total silence.

“Please clap,” he said, sounding defeated.

The crowd laughed — and then, finally, clapped.

Wow.

As most folks know, Bush was once considered the easy front-runner in the early days of the Republican nominating process.

Campaign Ad: Jeb Bush Scares Voters With "Hillary Clinton Future"

In an attempt to scare GOP voters with a Hillary Clinton win for the White House, Jeb Bush puts up this ad with an imagined election victory by Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump, ending with "Dont' panic - it's not too late to change the future."

The interesting thing about the ad is - the sun is shining, Hillary looks great, and the crowds are happy. Is this supposed to be a "negative ad?"

Hillary should take the first 90% of this and use it herself.

If I was Jeb Bush, I'd be firing some folks today.

Jeb Bush Attacks Marco Rubio To The Tune Of "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'"

Lets face it - part of the fun of primary season is the sometime hysterical manner and audacious lengths some candidates will go to attack another.

Today we get Jeb Bush's latest attack on Sen. Marco Rubio which incorporates the recent "Bootgate" story regarding Rubio's choice of Cuban heel footwear.

Set to the tune of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" the spot highlights Rubio's absences at Senate votes and his record of flip-flopping.

It's worth noting that Jeb Bush was once considered a mentor of sorts to young Rubio.

Gallup Poll Shows Jeb Bush Net Favorable Rating Dropped 28 Points In Six Month

According to the latest Gallup U.S. Daily poll, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has seen his net favorable rating among Republicans drop a precipitous 28 points to a sad -1. He currently has a 44% Favorable rating versus his 45% Unfavorable rating.

That means Bush has the worst Net Favorable rating in terms of major political players in the GOP race.

Donald Trump comes in with 35% Unfavorable rating, second only to Bush. Think on that one for the current front runner - 35% of what should be his base have a negative view of him.

Interestingly, Sen. Ted Cruz has the lowest Unfavorable rating with only 16% of Republicans viewing him in negative terms.

Jeb Bush: It's What You Do After A Crisis That Matters

Jeb Bush keeps up his attacks on Donald Trump after the Donald said Bush bro George W. bears responsibility for 9/11.

Appearing on CNN's "State Of The Union" with Jake Tapper:

“My brother responded to a crisis, and he did it as you would hope a president would do. He united the country, he organized our country and he kept us safe. And there’s no denying that. The great majority of Americans believe that…And I don’t know why he keeps bringing this up. It doesn’t show that he’s a serious person as it relates to being commander in chief and being the architect of a foreign policy…I mean, so next week, Mr. Trump is probably going to say that FDR was around when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. It’s what you do after that matters. And that’s the sign of leadership.”

Ouch.

First of all - "it's what you do after that matters."

Jeb, no. It's keeping America safe before an attack. While I don't hold George W. personally responsible, there is the small matter of the Presidential Daily Brief of August 6, 2001 which the Bush administration ignored, 36 days before the attacks.

In addition, the pesky FBI report about mideast citizens with ties to terrorist groups taking flying lessons in the U.S.

And then, to say Hillary Clinton is responsible for the deaths of four Americans in Libya? Isn't it "what you do after that matters," Jeb?

Jeb Bush Attacks Donald Trump On Military Judgement

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush goes after GOP front runner - HARD.

We'll see if this has any effect on the race.

The clip is the latest salvo in the Bush-Trump rivalry, which has often been marked by bitter and personal exchanges between the two prominent Republican presidential candidates. On Friday, Trump suggested Bush's brother, former President George W. Bush, shared in the blame for the 9/11 terrorist attacks because they occurred during his presidency.

Saturday's round centered on a video set to the tune of circus music that highlights comments from Trump that have called into question his grasp of military matters. Many of Trump's most controversial moments are presented, including his questioning of John McCain's status as a war hero to his inability to name prominent terrorists.

The clip also points out that Trump -- who is shown in the clip claiming that "there's nobody bigger or better at the military than I am" -- received deferments to avoid military service during the Vietnam War. There's also a snippet of a 2007 interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer in which he says Hillary Clinton "would do a good job" negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran.

Donald Trump Goes After Jeb & George Bush On 9/11 Attacks

This little trifle began with an interview Donald Trump did earlier this week with Bloomberg.

Trump said, “When you talk about George Bush – I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time…He was president, OK? … Blame him or don’t blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign.”

Woman Who 'Trumped' Donald Trump At No Labels Convention Volunteers For Jeb Bush

At a bipartisan convention called the No Labels Problem Solver Convention yesterday, Donald Trump got a very direct question about his views on women from college student Lauren Batchelder.

"So, maybe I'm wrong, maybe you can prove me wrong," said Lauren Batchelder, a student at St. Anselm College in Manchester. "But I don't think you're a friend to women."

Trump launched into his defense, one that he has given a lot lately as he faces accusations that he doesn't treat women with respect. Trump said he gave women positions of power at his construction sites "many years ago... before anyone would have even thought" to put women in such jobs. Trump complimented his wife, eldest daughter and mother, who he said "was one of the great people of the world." He promised to "take care of women" and stated: "I love women, I respect women, I cherish women."

Batchelder listened with her arms folded, face in a scowl. She then finished asking her question: "If you become president, will a woman make the same as a man, and do I get to choose what I do with my body?"

After the crowd cheered, Trump answered quickly and curtly: "You're going to make the same if you do as good of a job, and I happen to be pro-life, okay?" Batchelder listened, her hands now on her hips.

As Trump supporters googled Batchelder's name, they found a resume listing "intern at Jeb Bush for President 2016" and a Twitter feed containing pro-Bush tweets. Daniel Scavino Jr., a senior adviser to Trump, accused Bush of having "planted" an intern at the event.

The Tea People are, of course, out of their minds. And Trump took to the Twitterverse to tweak his rival, Jeb Bush:

Note how if you ask a tough question of Trump, you become "arrogant."

A spokeswoman for Bush's campaign, Allie Brandenburger, said Batchelder is not a paid staff member and made the decision to attend the convention on her own.

"While this question was not sanctioned by the campaign," Brandenburger said via e-mail Tuesday morning, "we can't help but notice Mr. Trump does seem to be very sensitive about being challenged by women."

Bush's main spokesman, Tim Miller, took to Twitter to flatly deny the Bush campaign had anything to do with the encounter:

Played by actor Frank Ridley, Fulbright is a mock-candidate who skewers typical politicians for Represent.us, a nonpartisan group that is pushing for campaign finance reform. He’s not even on the ballot anywhere.

But after he gave a stump speech cracking jokes about Republican candidates at the libertarian Republican Liberty Caucus’s national convention in Nashua, Fulbright beat some of them in the straw poll.

“Face it, I am a puppet for special interests and lobbyists,” Fulbright said. “And I will break any campaign promises that rub my donors the wrong way.”

Fulbright picked up a dozen votes, putting him way behind Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, who won with 445 votes, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. But that was still ahead of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and former New York Gov. George Pataki.

Jeb Bush: Democrats Win African-American Votes By Promising "Free Stuff"

At a campaign stop in South Carolina Thursday night, Jeb Bush seem to insinuate that Democrats win the African-American vote because they promise "free stuff."

The comment was reminiscent of Mitt Romney's 2012 statement, "your friends who like Obamacare, you remind them of this, if they want more stuff from government tell them to go vote for the other guy -- more free stuff."

From the Washington Post:

"Look around this room," a man told Bush, who spoke to a mostly white crowd. "How many black faces do you see? How are you going to include them and get them to vote for you?" asked the man, who was white.

Bush pointed to his record on school choice and said that if Republicans could double their share of the black vote, they would win the swing states of Ohio and Virginia.

"Our message is one of hope and aspiration," he said at the East Cooper Republican Women’s Club annual Shrimp Dinner. "It isn't one of division and get in line and we'll take care of you with free stuff. Our message is one that is uplifting -- that says you can achieve earned success."
