Oops - Conservative Super-PAC Runs Ads Thanking GOP For Repealing Obamacare

Oops.

The Republican super-PAC, American Action Network, prematurely bought air time to congratulation House Republicans for keeping their promises to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

Except - as we all know - the House GOP failed to pass their own legislation yesterday.

In fact, there wasn't even a vote.

NCAA basketball fans were probably confused when these ads ran in several markets last night.

This really is amateur hour, isn't it?

The Official Donald Trump Inauguration Poster

The official President Trump inaugural poster.

Just one little problem. You see that there?

Not being snarky here. The point is if he (you know he saw this) and his team overlook a simple typo, you have to wonder about mistakes possibly being made in all these executive orders he's signing.

Washington DC Bakery Will Donate Proceeds Of Trump Inauguration Cake To LGBT Cause

Inaugural cake 2017 by Buttercream Bakeshop
Buttercream Bakeshop, a bakery located in the heart of Washington DC,  explained via Instagram post that Trump’s inaugural committee asked for the exact same cake that celeb chef Duff Goldman made for the 2nd Obama inaugural festivities four years ago.

Duff recognized the design immediately:

Buttercream says it will donate the profits for the cake to the Human Rights Campaign.

Congressional Candidate Posts Screen Capture Including Open Porn Sites

Congressional candidate Mike Webb shares his taste in porn

Congressional candidate for the 8th District of Virginia raised eye-brows today when he posted a screen capture along with a post on his Facebook page.

He drew attention due to the fact that Webb failed to close a few tabs on his browser window before taking the screen capture. The first two browser tabs were open to porn sites.

From The Daily Caller:

Mike Webb initially ran as a Republican for the 8th District seat, which covers Arlington and Alexandria and is considered safely Democratic. He lost the nomination, though, and is now running as an independent, though he is, to say the least, unlikely to win.

Webb published a post on his campaign page Monday that included a screenshot of his computer desktop. And as it happened, Webb hadn’t bothered to close his pornography tabs when he took his screengrab.

“IVONE SEXY AMATEUR” may have a completely innocent meaning, but a quick Google search indicates the video is featured on RedTube and other very X-rated websites. Similarly, Layla Rivera is a porn star. Something about her is apparently tight, and it probably isn’t her relationship with her father.

Although folks in the media have noticed, after five hours the posts remains unchanged.

Wrong & Strong: Ball Boy Face-Plants Into Stadium Wall At Barcelona Open

Tough day at the office for this ball boy at the Barcelona Open yesterday.

After catching two balls, he sped back to his position with a bit too much gusto, face-planting into the stadium wall.

In theater, I like to call this being "wrong and strong." If you're going to "oops," do it with conviction.

Check the kid out, though. He smiles and shrugs it off like a pro.

Fox News Accidentally Calls New Hampshire For Donald Trump

Fox News accidentally jumped the gun with a ready-made graphic showing Donald Trump winning the New Hampshire primary - at noon with the polls still open. Click the image above to enlarge.

It seems Fox was looking to predict a Trump win with 28%, followed by Sen. Marco Rubio at 12% and Sen. Ted Cruz at 11%.

Fox News issued this "oopsie" after the graphic was taken down:

“During routine testing in preparation for the New Hampshire primary a malfunction occurred which briefly showed errant data on our website,” Fox News Chief Digital Officer Jeff Misenti said in a statement. “This error has been rectified. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.”

Liz Callaway "Another Hundred People" LIVE

Ok, this is pretty brilliant.

I'm sure if you are a fan of music theater, you know and adore Liz Callaway already.

But what happens when you forget the lyrics to the song you're singing live? And it's Sondheim? I mean, it's very possible it's gonna happen.

Watch this. Just watch. Then share :)

Texas Tribune Offers "Oops" Reel In Honor Of Gov. Rick Perry's Ride Into The Sunset

As Rick Perry rides off into the sunset as governor of the Lone Star state after 14 years, the Texas Tribune offers this video send-off celebrating a few highlights of his public statements.

I should add: everyone trips up on their own tongue over years of public speaking. Maybe not as much as Gov. Bang Bang, but it's human.

We're just lucky to get to enjoy this little blooper reel. Happy Sunday.

Southwest Airlines flight lands at wrong airport

CNN reports on a bit of an embarrassing episode for Southwest Airlines:

Welcome to Branson, Missouri. Well, maybe not.

A Southwest Airlines flight from Chicago's Midway Airport was scheduled to land at Branson Airport in southwest Missouri on Sunday night. Instead, the Boeing 737-700 touched down at Taney County airport -- about 7 miles away, and with a runway significantly shorter.

The Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation on the mix-up, as has the National Transportation Safety Board. But passengers were relieved the error didn't lead to something more serious.

The Taney County airport doesn't normally handle big jets. Its runway is about half the length of the Branson airport -- 3,738 feet, compared with 7,140 feet. That required the pilot to do a lot of heavy braking as soon as the Boeing 737-700 touched down.

Chicago: WGN Morning News hangs up on Oprah

So, maybe not the best way to ensure that Oprah will call in again some day.

The blooper-prone WGN Morning News team had Oprah on their Tuesday morning broadcast for a phone interview, but the conversation was abruptly cut short when the call was disconnected.

When Oprah was back on the line shortly thereafter, the talk show queen confirmed she had not been responsible for the hangup.

"I'm just sitting her on the phone talking and all of a sudden music comes in and I'm like, 'OK, I guess that's my cue,'" Oprah said. "It's like you're standing at an award show and the music starts. Oh, OK, that's my cue to shut up."

Sorry for the auto-play...

Fired news anchor AJ Clemente on The Today Show

Ahhhh.... I'm on this guy's side. Everyone makes mistakes fresh out of school at a new job. A.J. just happened to do it "on air."

"Fuckin' shit" were A.J. Clemente's first words on air as he started a news anchoring job with Bismarck, North Dakota NBC affiliate KFYR. That job didn't last very long, as Clemente was quickly fired. On Wednesday, he appeared on Today to respond.

"Gut-wrenching" was how Clemente described the mistake, noting that he wasn't aware that he'd uttered those words on camera until the third break. "We came on 30 seconds early," he informed, adding that he was trying to figure out how to pronounce names in an upcoming story about the London Marathon. In any case, what he said was "inexcusable."

Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer both sympathized, with the former pointing our that Clemente had no earpiece. "No cue, no countdown," Clemente added.

As for losing his job? "I fully expected that they would fire me," he said, noting that he had "no animosity at all" because of it.

"You've got to have a tough skin in this business," he added, and the ability to laugh at yourself.

All about second chances, Lauer then had Clemente take it away with the preview of upcoming stories, as they headed into a commercial break. (No bleeps this time around.)

North Dakota: News anchor debut doesn't go so well

In the news business, you always assume your mic is on.

Always.

Always.

Always.

Last night was A.J. Clemente's first night at the anchor desk for Bismarck NBC affiliate KFYR. Things did not go well for A.J. as you see in the video above.  His first words on the air were "f**kin shit."  Oops.

Here's how things went down after that:

• Update (9:10 p.m.): A.J.'s been suspended.

• Update (11:12 p.m.): Here's how KFYR opened their 10 p.m. newscast, sans A.J. and with an apology:

• Update (12:04 p.m.): A.J. has been fired.

Bless his heart.

Loud and close up - San Diego 2012 fireworks mishap

You may have heard about this - San Diego's July 4th fireworks display had a tech mishap and the computer system fired all the fireworks in 18 seconds instead of the planned program.

Check it out close in HD video. It's loud so turn your speakers down before you hit play.
