Trump Blames Obama For Released Gitmo Prisoners That Bush Released

Score another mistake for Tweeter-In-Chief, President Trump.

Shortly after this morning's "Fox & Friends" tweeted a story about how at least 122 former Guantanamo prisoners have engaged in terrorism after their release, Trump fired off a tweet blaming President Obama:

But an Intelligence Community report on re-engaged detainees shows that Bush allowed nearly all of those releases. From the New York Daily News:

According to a report on re-engagement through July 2016, 122 of the 693 former detainees who were transferred out of Gitmo went back to terrorism. Bush oversaw the release of 532 detainees, and 113 of them — more than one-fifth — were confirmed to have re-engaged, according to the report.

Meanwhile, Obama released 161 detainees, and only nine were confirmed to have returned to terrorism.

So - 113 detainees released by George W. Bush returned to terrorism, 9 released by Obama.

Much too quick on the Twitter finger there, Chief Cheeto.

It must be so much easier to be the big boss in your own company where people get fired for pointing out facts. Right, Mr. Trump?

But remember y'all - Donald Trump is a BIG fan of the Bible.

Donald Trump gave the convocation at Liberty University — a Christian school in Virginia — on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. day.

And he decided to throw in some scripture.

“Two Corinthians, right?” he announced. “Two Corinthians 3:17. That’s the whole ballgame.”

The Donald seemed to be referencing the second letter to the Corinthians, or “Second Corinthians.”

Not “Two Corinthians.” No one says "Two Corinthians."

Clearly Trump was attempting to curry favor with the verse which reads, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

Epic Fail At Miss Universe - Wrong Winner Announced, Crown Removed

Well, folks will talk about this one for a long time.

Epic fail by host Steve Harvey last night at the Miss Universe Pageant in Las Vegas, where Harvey announced the wrong winner.

Harvey got the runner-up, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, mixed up with the actual winner, Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo.

After Gutierrez had already walked down the runway with the crown on her head, Harvey stepped forward - owning his mistake - to rectify the horribly awkward situation.

Poor Ms. Gutierrez stands not knowing what to do - all I kept thinking was, "Who's going to take that crown off her head?"

I'm not anti-police. The reason I post these videos is to show that police are, indeed, fallible. That's not a horrible thing. But when the only thing coming out of these stories is some kind of defense, it's important to acknowledge anyone can make a mistake.

Joan Rivers death allegedly caused by medical mistake

Word is spreading fast that Joan Rivers' death was allegedly caused by an unplanned biopsy during Rivers' outpatient procedure:

During Rivers' planned endoscopy ... doctors discovered something on her vocal cords and her doctor decided he would biopsy it ... this according to the NY Daily News.

During the biopsy Rivers' vocal cords reportedly seized -- slammed shut -- cutting off her air supply. Sources tell TMZ while they were trying to resuscitate her, her heart stopped.

Medical experts told the Daily News ... the biopsy was too risky for outpatient surgery and should have been performed in a hospital.

Rivers never recovered and died a few days later.

KTLA reporter Sam Rubin mistakes Samuel L. Jackson for Laurence Fishburne

Oh man - this as painful as it is hilarious to watch.

This morning, while Samuel L. Jackson was chatting on his new movie "RoboCop" this morning with KTLA, Entertainment anchor Sam Rubin decided to ask Jackson about his new Super Bowl commercial.

Only problem -  Sam Jackson did NOT do a Super Bowl commercial this year. Laurence Fishburne did.

While Rubin scrambles to move the interview past his faux pas, Jackson continues to riff on "I'm the other black guy actor" over and over. 

Jackson is actually very funny with his take on the mistake.

Bill O'Reilly admits mistake on exclusion of Repubs at MLK remembrance

Bill O'Reilly ended his Thursday night show apologizing for incorrectly claiming the night before in two separate segments that no conservatives or Republicans were invited. There were multiple reports to the contrary yesterday and today, and O'Reilly admitted he got it wrong.

O'Reilly thought it was a mistake that the invited Republicans didn't attend, but admitted his on-air misstatement was "entirely on me," saying he merely "assumed" Republicans were excluded. He told his audience in his Tip of the Day, "Always check out the facts before you make a definitive statement, and when you make a mistake, admit it."

At the end of the day, I have to admit O'Reilly does surprise us sometimes.
