Headline Of The Day: "What's Wrong With Discrimination?"

Jesse Lee Ferguson, writing for World Net Daily, says discrimination is a God-given right.

Here's just an excerpt:

"America was much better off when its businesses routinely posted signs that read, 'We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone,' and meant it. After all, they 'built it,' and freedom – like the freedom of association – was universally understood to be a natural, God-given right.

"But now, in our more 'enlightened' age, freedom has been squashed in favor of special rights for protected groups, and 'hell to pay' for unprotected groups.

"LGBT groups have been effective in linking their immoral cause to the noble civil rights movement. In reality, gays never wanted equality. They wanted society to accept their sinful lifestyle, or else. LGBT groups – to be blunt – act like fascists.

"What’s so bad about discrimination anyway? Discrimination has always been a hallmark of freedom. The ability to discriminate is given to us by God so that we can make right choices."

Colorado Bakery Cleared Of Any Wrong Doing In Refusing To Make "Hate Cake"

The Azucar Bakery in Colorado has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Colorado Civil Rights Division for refusing to bake a cake with a hateful message.

LGBTQ Nation reports:

The state ruled that the cake shop had every right not to make the cakes on the grounds that the message on the cakes would be “derogatory.”

The complaint against Marjorie Silva, owner of Azucar Bakery, was filed by Castle Rock, Colo., resident Bill Jack, who claimed Silva discriminated against his religious beliefs when she refused to decorate a cake showing two groomsmen with a red “x” over them and messages about homosexuality being a sin.

Silva said she would make the cake, but declined to write his suggested messages on the cake, telling him she would give him icing and a pastry bag so he could write the words himself. Silva said the customer didn’t want that.

In its ruling, the state determined that because Silva would have responded to any other customer the same way, the bakery didn’t refuse service because of the customer’s religion.

Just another asshole trying to make a flawed point over the anti-gay bakers who refused to make a cake for a gay wedding celebration in a state where public accommodation laws include sexual orientation in their civil rights acts.

Sean Hannity At CPAC: "If I Was Stupid Like A Liberal..."

Sean Hannity took some of his free time at CPAC today to throw red meat to the crowd in the form of insults about liberal Americans:

"Let's say I had a bees nest at my house. If I was stupid, like a liberal, and I took a baseball bat and I knocked down the wasp nest and the bees sting me, it wouldn't be my fault, it wouldn't be the wasp's fault."

But this guy would tell you he's 'fair and balanced.'

He then followed up with a strange joke - “I have x-ray Fox vision and I can see some young women — you don’t even know it yet but you’re pregnant. But it’s not your fault!”

The insults start around the 7:15 mark.

Scott Lively is super-mad that HBO's "Last Week Tonight" told the truth about him

Crimes against humanity defendant and current (don't laugh) Massachusetts gubernatorial candidate Scott Lively is waaay upset that John Oliver quoted Mr. Lively (with video, no less) on HBO's "Last Week Tonight" this past Sunday.

As many folks know, Mr. Lively has spent considerable time and energy traveling the world spreading anti-gay propaganda and supporting laws like the recently passed "Kill The Gays" law in Uganda.  He, of course, denies that he's anything but loving and compassionate.

You know, Scotty, the problem with technology is what you say is now with us forever. All your anti-gay propaganda captured in "lively" color.

But Mr. Lively has now taken to his personal hate site to rail against Oliver's extensive truth-telling.

“Friends, On Sunday night I was attacked on HBO’s ‘Last Week Tonight’ a supposed comedy/news show in the mold of The Daily Show.

The host is a Brit named John Oliver.

I find it funny that lefties like John Oliver who pose as humanitarians are the masters at dehumanizing other people through ridicule and never give the subjects of their smears a fair chance to respond.

I’m calling out John Oliver as a liar and a fraud who couldn’t go ten minutes with me in an unscripted, unedited debate. Without his teleprompter and his cheap-shot, out-of-context video clips he would be exposed as just another left-wing loony.

Oliver is lying through selective editing re Rwanda and several other points. His show was one continuous stream of malicious LGBT propaganda in the guise of comedy.

Yes, it will likely negatively affect the voters, as it was intended to do. It’s one more example of the ‘politics of personal destruction’ that Saul Alinsky taught the ‘progressives,’ including journalists, to practice.”

You can check out the clip that has Scott Lively's panties in a bunch below:

Tea Party blogger arrested for sneaking into opponent's wife's hospital room

Clayton Thomas Kelly

Tea party blogger Clayton Thomas Kelly has been arrested for sneaking into an adult care facility and taking a photo of US Sen. Thad Cochran's (R-MS) wife, who is being treated for Alzheimer's:

Clayton Thomas Kelly runs a political blog called Constitutional Clayton, where he posted a story April 26 attacking Cochran and supporting state Sen. Chris McDaniel, who's challenging Cochran in the state's GOP Senate primary this year.

The piece included a picture taken bedside in Rose Cochran's room at the nursing home, where she has lived since 2000.

In a press release, the Madison Police Department said that Kelly "had illegally and improperly obtained an image of a vulnerable adult resident without their consent for his own benefit." He was charged with exploitation of a vulnerable adult, and his bond was set at $100,000.

In a statement, the Cochrans' attorney, Donald Clark, said his clients' "privacy and dignity have been violated," according to the Clarion-Ledger.

McDaniel has denounced the shenanigans, but Cochran's campaign isn't completely convinced McDaniel's camp is completely in the clear. Apparently, McDaniel's campaign manager knew about the arrest before news reports.

Ah, the Tea Party - the gift that keeps giving...

Donald Trump declares President Carter dead at CPAC 2014

Donald Trump, speaking to the kids at the conservative cheerleader camp CPAC likened President Obama to former President Jimmy Carter.

Except "The Donald" seem to think Carter is dead for some reason...

The Zombie Twitter account for Jimmy Carter is not amused.  But his Tweets are quite wicked:

Rep. Steve King: We shouldn't have legal protections for 'self-professed' behaviors

I love that Rep. Steve King isn't even sure what groups are covered in the "Civil Rights section of the code."

"Special rights for SELF-PROFESSED BEHAVIOR?" King means the gays here, I assume.

And then there's the moment at 1:36 when King says "How do you know who to discriminate against?"

Umm, the answer would be "No one."

Finally, isn't religion "self-professed behavior?" You aren't born to a specific faith - Christian, Jewish, Muslim...

And people change faith all the time.

Things that make you go "hmm..."

Bill O'Reilly: There has to be a downside to a woman President

Is this really a subject worth debating, Bill?

And what did you think your two female guests were going to say?

Or was this just a passive/aggressive opportunity to throw the women a bone and have a chance to say what they want so you can LOOK like you might care...?

DC lobbyist proposes a law banning gay players from the NFL

Via the Huffington Post, you can file this under "Never Gonna Happen."

Republican lobbyist Jack Burkman wants to see Congress pass his "American Decency Act of 2014," which would make it illegal for "self-declared homosexual football players" to join an NFL team unless it "provides facilities for homosexual players which are entirely separate and distinct from the facilities used by heterosexual players."

Burkman proposes a fine starting at $3 million for any violations of the proposed "law."

"I felt that if the NFL doesn't have any morals, and people like [Commissioner] Roger Goodell, who are just go-along-get-along guys, just want to appease advertisers, appease corporate America and all that stuff," Burkman said earlier this week, "I figured, well, it is time for conservatives in Congress to step in and define morality for them."

Earlier this week,  Burkman predicted that dozens of members of Congress would rally behind his proposal.  I'm highly doubting that will happen.

Of course, this is never going to happen. So you have to wonder what kind of publicity Burkman is looking for here since it only serves to portray him as a jackass.

By the way, Burkman has an openly gay brother. Weigh that one out in your heads.

Wow.

Homo-con group GOProud takes credit for veto of Arizona's "License to Discriminate" bill

Biggest laugh of the day.

Homo-conservative group GOPRoud sent out the letter below, hours after Governor Brewer of Arizona vetoed the "License to Discriminate" bill. In the letter, the group takes credit for Brewer's decision to veto the legislation.

What a laugh...

Dear Friends,

On Tuesday GOProud sent out a statement encouraging Governor Jan Brewer to veto Arizona Senate Bill 1062, which would have legalized the discrimination of gay individuals.

Today, we are proud to share with you the news that the Governor Brewer has vetoed that legislation. It is because of supporters like you that the message of freedom is reaching conservative leaders all across America.

Governor Brewer's decision reinforced the voices of several influential Republicans like Senator John McCain, Senator Jeff Flake, Governor Mitt Romney, Governor Rick Scott, and Speaker Newt Gingrich, who all spoke out against SB 1062, just like we did.

This is no small victory. GOProud's mission is one that is being characterized by many of our Party leaders. Together, we are entering a modern Republican era, where the principles of conservatism are celebrated by all Americans.

Please take this opportunity to extend your congratulations to our friends in Arizona, express your gratitude for the courage and conviction of leaders like Governor Jan Brewer, and continue supporting the important work we do here at GOProud.

Pat Robertson says impeach Attorney General Eric Holder

Well, here Pat goes again.

Pat Robertson indicates more than once that Attorney General Eric Holder is encouraging state AG's to not "uphold" or "abide" by their state's laws.

What AG Eric Holder said was that state attorney generals are not required to defend laws that are found to be unconstitutional. And all of the attorney generals in question are doing just that. They are enforcing the laws of their states. But some have chosen to not DEFEND laws that they feel are unconstitutional.

There is an intellectual and legal difference.

But then, this IS Pat Robertson.

Ted Nugent "apologizes" for calling President "subhuman mongrel"

Ted Nugent appeared on the February 21 edition of WBAP's The Ben Ferguson Show and offered a non-apology for his language when he called President Obama a "subhuman mongrel."

Nugent says he was just using "metaphorical street language."

Remember when the Dixie Chicks said they were "ashamed" by President Bush and received HUGE backlash?  Nugent calls our President "subhuman mongrel" and really doesn't see anything wrong with it.

Pat Robertson on gay sex: "It's not very pretty"

Discussing the topic of homosexuality (yet again), Pat Robertson told his viewers "when you see what they [gay people] do, it's not very pretty." Which does beg the question: why was Pat Robertson watching some gay guys get it on?

He also goes on to say that sex is for procreation; no gay sex or lesbian sex will ever create a child.

I do want Pat Robertson to know that I consider that a personal challenge, and that Michael and I are practicing as much as we can to prove him wrong.

Michigan: RNC member says gays want free healthcare because AIDS

Dave Agema

While speaking against marriage equality, Republican National Committee member Dave Agema said that gays want free healthcare benefits because they are dying of AIDS.

“Folks, they (gay people) want free medical because they’re dying (when they’re) between 30 and 44 years old,” he said. “To me, it’s a moral issue. It’s a Biblical issue. Traditional marriage is where it should be and it’s in our platform. Those in our party who oppose traditional marriage are wrong,” said Agema.

Equality Michigan has called on Republican leadership to denounce Agema’s remarks and is seeking his removal as a committeemember of the Republican Party. The organization is also encouraging the healthcare community to correct Agema’s remarks, saying they perpetuate a harmful stigma about people living with HIV.

“It is unconscionable that in 2013 a political figure in a prominent position would feel so comfortable spewing lies about real people in a pathetic attempt to deny fundamental rights to families in Michigan,” said Emily Dievendorf, Managing Director of Equality Michigan.

Earlier this year, Agema came under fire from members of his own party after he posted an excerpt on Facebook from an article titled “Everyone Should Know These Statistics On Homosexuals.”
Among the claims in the article by Dr. Frank Joseph is that gay people “account for half the murders in large cities” and that “part of the homosexual agenda is to get the public to affirm their filthy lifestyle.”

Ben Carson: Obamacare is the worst thing to happen to America since slavery

Speaking at the Values Voters Summit, Ben Carson says Obamacare is the worst thing to happen to America since slavery.

Really??? The WORST thing since slavery?

What's strange about all the hyperbole about Obamacare is conservatives LOVE the idea of people being responsible for themselves. So why wouldn't they LOVE the idea of Obamacare?

Oh! I know! Because they like the idea of "other people" being responsible for themselves.

p.s. Obamacare is saving me $200 a month on my health insurance that I PERSONALLY pay for.  PLUS, as a cancer survivor, I can't be kicked off my policy.  Just saying...

Florida radio host urges listeners to call Obamacare and take up time so others can't sign up

"I am asking all of you who care about the future of this nation to simply do two things:

"1) Set aside some time to place a phone call to the official Obama Care Exchange Hotline (number below) . When you get someone on the line ask as many questions about Obama care that you can come up with. Take lots of time. If you can make at least three calls next week that will add up if thousands or even millions of us do it! This will be effective because if we overload the system with calls from those of us who do not want Obama Care, those seeking this entitlement will not be able to access it as easily thus generating further doubts about the entire program. Please be polite and just occupy as much of his/her time that you can!

"2) Please share this with as many friends as you can, social media, whatever source you can use to reach out to others who are not happy with this program! If you have any questions please feel free to call me at: 239-293-9701." - WGUF-FM radio host Joe Whitehead

So if you hear reports that folks aren't signing up for Obamacare, there's one reason why. You've got kooks like this advocating tying up the phone lines so those who need healthcare can't sign up.

By the way, the radio station's phone number, should you care to call and make a comment, is 239-495-8383

Anti-gay crackpot Bryan Fischer: Hillary Clinton could be our first lesbian President

Bryan Fischer, of the certified hate group American Family Association, has already stated that Americans would never elect Hillary Clinton as president because she is simply “too old” and “too saggy.

Now, he has a new reason to oppose Hillary - according to him, if Clinton should win, then she might be the “first lesbian president.”

Right Wing Watch has the details:

Fischer pointed to an interview between Gennifer Flowers and the UK-based Daily Mail in which she claims that Bill Clinton told her that Hillary is bisexual, and therefore it isn’t out of the question that she may be having an affair with aide Huma Abedin.

Since Fischer accepts pure speculation from whatever source as indisputable fact so long as it fits his agenda, it is no surprise that he now claims that “the bottom line is that if Hillary Clinton becomes president in 2016 she will not only be our first female president she could be our first lesbian president.”

Major broadcast company planning to drop Hannity and Limbaugh

In a major shakeup for the radio industry, Cumulus Media, the second-biggest broadcaster in the country, is planning to drop both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity from its stations at the end of the year, an industry source told POLITICO on Sunday.

Cumulus has decided that it will not renew its contracts with either host, the source said, a move that would remove the two most highly rated conservative talk personalities from more than 40 Cumulus channels in major markets.

Pennsylvania Police Chief: "F*ck all you libtards out there"

Raw Story shares this story of Gilberton, Pennsylvania Police Chief Mark Kessler, who recently made news with anti-gay and profanity filled videos:

The mayor of Gilberton, Pennsylvania is standing by her city’s police chief despite a series of profanity-laced and threatening videos. In a video that has received wide attention, police chief Mark Kessler repeatedly tells those upset by his use of profanity to “go f*ck yourself” as he fires various automatic weapons.

Mayor Mary Lou Hannon told The Morning Call that Kessler had the right to express himself. The city would “not take action to quash free speech, whether or not each member of council or any member of council agrees with it.” Kessler has uploaded several profanity-laced videos to YouTube. In one video, Kessler berates “libtards” and warns of an armed rebellion against the government.

“F*ck all you libtards out there, as a matter of fact, read my shirt,” he says, turning around to show a message on his back which read, “Liberals take it in the a**.” “You take it in the ass and I don’t give a f*ck what you say so you can all just go f*ck yourselves. Period. I wont be going to D.C. and I don’t give a f*ck. If you f*cking maniacs want to turn this into an armed revolt, knock yourselves out. I’m not about that, so see you on the other side.”

If conservatives ever wondered why they get a bad name, they can thank folks like Kessler.  THIS is what represents the conservative movement.  This is what gets in the news and becomes the face of the GOP.  Congratulations.

The video below, where Kessler fires rounds of ammo into the air for no apparent reason but to appear tough (I guess) in between fits of saying "f*ck you", has been monetized on YouTube and the comments disabled. So this is really just Kessler's way to make money, by creating news and getting folks to click on his video.

Geraldo Rivera shocks the Twitterverse with selfie body photo

Geraldo Rivera shocked the Twitterverse with the above photo he posted on Twitter on July 21.

I don't find the pic  terribly salacious, but I'm not a fan of Rivera's to begin with.

Throughout the recent Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman trial, Rivera maintained that Trayvon was shot because he was wearing a "hoodie" and therefore appeared to be a thug.
