Taylor Swift dropped her awesome new music video for “You Need To Calm Down” and it’s packed to the gills with LGBTQ stars, celebs and personalities.

Featured in the video are Ellen DeGeneres, Laverne Cox, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan van Ness, Bobby Berk, Tan France, Ciara, RuPaul, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and husband Justin Mikita, Billy Porter, Adam Lambert, Adam Rippon, Ryan Reynolds, Hayley Kiyoko, Todrick Hall, Chester Lockhart, Dexter Mayfield, Hannah Hart, and Katy Perry.

Billy Porter

The song shows Taylor's "all-in" support for the LGBTQ community as the video is full of plastic wading pools, crowns for queens, bouncy beats, glitter, and queer references like GLAAD and shade.

The music video's release arrives just weeks after Swift shared an open letter to her Republican Tennessee U.S. senators calling for their support for the Equality Act, which would add sexual orientation and gender identity to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

And Friday night, she surprised folks at the historic Stonewall Inn with an impromptu performance of her mega-hit "Shake It Off."

The climax of the vid is an epic trailer park food fight followed by the message:

"Let's show our pride by demanding that, on a national level, our laws truly treat all of our citizens equally.

"Please sign my petition for Senate support of the Equality Act on Change.org.

Go, Taylor, go!

RuPaul Featured In New Trailer For Upcoming Season 5 Of 'Grace And Frankie'

RuPaul in 'Grace and Frankie'

RuPaul is featured in the new trailer for the upcoming Season 5 of the Netflix series Grace and Frankie starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

Hard to believe its been almost a year since we heard the news RuPaul would be guest-starring on the hit comedy series (Ru and Jane Fonda are pals) as “Benjamin Le Day,” who is described as a “formidable and quick-witted adversary” to the two acting legends.

In the quick clip, it appears as though Fonda & Tomlin are breaking into Ru's house, but it turns out the house is their own Malibu beach house which their children have sold out from under them.

The queens of comedy trade some “Who the f*ck are you’s” with the queen of queens, and that's just the beginning.

Season 5 of Grace and Frankie - which also stars Sam Waterston and Martin Sheen as the ladies' ex-husbands who are now gay lovers - lands on Netflix January 18.

Check out the new trailer below.

RuPaul For Oscar Host!

Kevin Hart stepped down from hosting the 2019 Academy Awards this morning after homophobic language from the past came to light.

"I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year's Oscar's....this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists,” he wrote on Twitter. “I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.”

“I'm sorry that I hurt people. I am evolving and want to continue to do so,” Kevin continued. “My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again.”

The Academy is now looking for a new host for the February 24th event on ABC.

I personally nominate 3-time-Emmy Award winner RuPaul :)

RuPaul Guest-Stars On 'The Simpsons' This Sunday

RuPaul as "Queen Chante" on The Simpsons

You know you’ve arrived at the pinnacle of pop culture when you finally get that call to guest star on an episode of the long-running animated FOX series, The Simpsons.

This Sunday, Emmy Award-winner RuPaul makes his animated debut on the long running animated series as “Queen Chante.”

FOX released a teaser video of the upcoming episode along with some clues about the storyline.

From what we can tell, Marge makes yet another attempt at finding a successful career, this time as a Tupperware salesperson.

But to get an edge on her competition, Marge’s friend Julio suggests selling in drag. Apparently, drag queens sell the most Tupperware - who knew?

Showrunner Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview, “This is true - most successful Tupperware sellers are drag queens.”

Dang, queens are good at everything!

And somewhere in the mix, Homer makes HIS drag debut complete with full-on runway strut adorned in a blond wig and black dress.

How the animated series has gone 30 seasons without Homer in drag almost boggles the mind.

Not only do we get Mama Ru in the drag-tastic episode, but RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3 champ, Raja, makes a cameo as herself as well.

In an Instagram post, Raja shared the cartoon image writing, “The Simpsons was a huge part of my childhood, being asked to be on an episode was surreal and mind blowing, to say the least.”

Watch the teaser below. Mama Ru’s “Queen Chante” will come to slay this Sunday at 8/7c on FOX.

• The online fundraising platform ActBlue raised $100 million in August for Democratic candidates, marking their biggest fundraising month since they launched in 2004. The liberals are NOT losing any steam before the 2018 midterm elections, kids.

• The California legislature has passed a resolution condemning intersex surgeries on children in an attempt to halt procedures that would try and 'normalize' children's sexual characteristics.

• Openly bisexual Halsey (one of my favorite out recording artists) clapped back at anti-LGBT folks who come to her concerts saying, "People bring anti-LGBT religious propaganda to my concerts alot and it's like, I feel like I've done enough good in the world that God's gonna forgive me for eating some p*ssy." #LOL

• Rupaul has announced a new Christmas album coming this fall! This will be Ru's 3rd collection of holiday songs following 1997’s Ho Ho Ho and 2015’s Slay Belles.

California: RuPaul Endorses Gavin Newsom For Governor "You Betta Vote!"

RuPaul endorses Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom for governor of California

RuPaul appears in a PSA for California's upcoming primary on June 5 urging folks to not only vote, but vote for Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom for governor.

"Today, I want to tell the world that I'll be casting my vote for you, Gavin," says the Super Model of the World.

Newsom gained headlines in the LGBTQ world when he began issuing marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples back in 2004 (before same-sex marriage was the law of the land) during his tenure as mayor of San Francisco.

Many, including Mama Ru, credit Newsom's actions with jump starting the marriage equality movement.

So there you have it, Californians. As Ru says, "If you don't vote, you lose the right to complain. So - YOU BETTA VOTE!"

RuPaul To Sashay Across The Country In New Netflix Sitcom "AJ And The Queen"

RuPaul (image via Instagram)
As if perpetually-in-motion RuPaul didn't have enough on his plate, now we get word that the two-time Emmy Award winner will soon star in a new series for Netflix titled, AJ and the Queen.

Ru will team-up with Michael Patrick King (2 Broke Girls, Sex and the City) for the new original comedy series.

According to Deadline, King and RuPaul will pen the new sitcom which will feature RuPaul as "Ruby Red, a bigger-than-life but down-on-her-luck drag queen who travels across America from club to club in a rundown 1990’s R/V with her unlikely sidekick AJ, a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scrappy 11-year-old stowaway."

So two misfits - one tall, one small - sashaying across the country, spreading a message of acceptance and love.

Kind of like BJ and the Bear meets Touched by an Angel just with a lot more sass.

Oh, and apparently Mama Ru will perform a killer musical number in all the drag clubs visited.

You better work.

RuPaul's "Apology" Doesn't Sit Well With Trans Community

RuPaul
RuPaul recently got into a kerfuffle with the transgender community when he told The Guardian he would "probably not" include a transgender woman who had fully transitioned to compete on the Emmy Award-winning reality show.

"You can identify as a woman and say you’re transitioning, but it changes once you start changing your body. It takes on a different thing; it changes the whole concept of what we’re doing," he said. "We’ve had some girls who’ve had some injections in the face and maybe a little bit in the butt here and there, but they haven’t transitioned."

As the trans community took exception with the remarks, Ru seemed to pour gasoline on the fire with a tweet that seemed to compare transgender drag competitors to doping athletes.

Alexandra Billings, a transgender star of Amazon's Transparent, stepped into the fray with a message to Ru via Instagram which read, "Dear RuPaul, You did not invent drag. We did."

I'm not an expert on drag, so I do have a question:

My understanding is drag is about illusion. Separately, transgender women are women. So, where would the illusion be in trans women competing in a drag competition?

Ru issued a Twitter apology today that didn't include the word "sorry," and folks were not calmed by the choice of words.

RuPaul To Be Honored With Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

RuPaul is finally getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

"WOW! Just found out! Dream come true!"
"Sweet Cheeses! My heart is beating so fast right now! - RuPaul to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame"

Also chosen this year by the Walk of Fame Selection Committee are Kirsten Dunst, Gina Lollobrigida, Linda Carter, Simon Cowell, Ryan Murphy, Taraji P Henson, Petula Clark, Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols, Weird Al Yankovic, Minnie Mouse, Niecy Nash, Mary J Blige, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and posthumous stars to Steve Irwin and Bernie Mac.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the top tourist attractions in Los Angeles.

It's been a big year for RuPaul what with winning the Emmy and MTV awards, landing on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, celebrating RuPaul's Drag Race's highest ratings ever, plus guest spots on Broad City and Girl Boss, and marrying longtime bf Georges.

Reminder: RuPaul's Drag Race airs it's season finale tonight at 8PM on VH1.
