Trump & Mooch Continue Twitter War

L-R Donald Trump, Anthony Scaramucci

Boom: "Scaramucci, who like so many others had nothing to do with my Election victory, is only upset that I didn’t want him back in the Administration (where he desperately wanted to be). Also, I seldom had time to return his many calls to me. He just wanted to be on TV!"

Bam: "You are losing your fastball— very weak troll. Bullying is the most anti-American thing in our culture and it is emanating from the Oval Office. Many have called and are willing to work on a necessary replacement. Time to call in a good relief pitcher."

Mooch is getting sassy...LOL

Andy Cohen Gets Sassy With Online Trolls After NYE Critiques

Bravo TV host Andy Cohen received some serious flack for his co-hosting appearance on CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper.
Andy Cohen slapped back at his Twitter trolls

Bravo TV host Andy Cohen received some serious flack for his co-hosting appearance on CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper.

Here's just a sample:

Meow!

Now, I’ll admit Cohen isn’t my cup of tea, either. I find him to be a bit self-serving, self-satisfied and smug most of the time. Pretty much the opposite of BDE.

But, I will say I love a good come-back on social media. And it turns out Mr. Cohen isn’t shy about firing off some sassy slap backs.

So just to add a little balance here on Instinct, here’s a few of Andy Cohen’s more tasty retorts.

First up, actor and right-wing loon James Woods (who has his own rather troublesome dating issues) criticized Cohen and Cooper for the way they handled some celebratory on-air shots.

Wood tweeted video of the men drinking with a sarcastic “Men in 2019…” caption:

Cohen retweeted with his own caption, “Assholes in 2019…).

Boom!

A few more bon mots from Mr. Cohen:

Cohen is practically patting this Twitter user on the head:

And my favorite comeback by the toothy TV host:

Trump Calls Stormy Daniels "Horseface," Daniels Responds Pointing Out His "Shortcomings"

Stormy Daniels
After a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by porn star Stormy Daniels against Donald Trump alleging he had defamed her by calling her claims of a one night stand a lie, Trump took to Twitter to call the adult performer, among other things, "horseface."

Trump tweeted, "Federal Judge throws out Stormy Danials lawsuit versus Trump. Trump is entitled to full legal fees.” @FoxNews Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas. She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!"

You may notice that last misplaced comma basically shows Trump calling himself "a total con."

But Stormy Daniels is not one to stand down. The porn star slapped back with her own biting critique addressing him as "Tiny."

For his part, Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti also jumped into the fray:

Twitter Announces Top Tweets Of 2017 And Trump Is Nowhere To Be Found

Twitter announced the top "Liked" and "Retweeted" posts of 2017, and the results might be a bit unexpected for some folks.

Considering the turmoil and angst Donald Trump creates with his favorite social media platform, it's surprising that Trump is nowhere to be found on either list.

From The New Yorker:
The big news is that none of the year’s ten most-retweeted tweets are by Donald Trump. Instead, three are by Barack Obama—and two of the top three most-liked tweets are Obama’s, too. (The second-most-liked tweet is from the singer Ariana Grande, written after the bombing at her Manchester concert, in May.)

In perception, this has been the year of D.J.T. on Twitter, tramping like an angry wildebeest across the civic turf. But, according to the company’s numbers, the largest footprint on the landscape has really been B.H.O.’s.

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion,” goes Obama’s most-liked post of 2017, with 4.6 million hearts. (It also had 2.7 million retweets, making it No. 2 on that list.) The quote is from Nelson Mandela, and the included photo is of Obama hanging out with toddlers of many skin colors.

Below that, at No. 5, is President Obama’s official valediction (“I’m asking you to believe—not in my ability to create change, but in yours”), and, at No. 8, his final wave goodbye (“It’s been the honor of my life to serve you. You made me a better leader and a better man”). His note to Senator John McCain, after the announcement of his brain cancer (“Give it hell, John”), is the third-most-favorited.

The article goes on to say one reason Obama's tweets land so much better is they tend to be of a nature that folks are proud to be associated with. In other words, uplifting.

Another thought is that Obama's supporters make a point to underscore Obama's tweets as method of poking at Trump's followers.

CNN To Trump: It's Your Job To Represent U.S. To The World - Not Ours

After his fifth day in a row on a golf course, Donald Trump took to Twitter today to attack (yet again) CNN News and pump up Fox News.

“Fox News is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly,” the president wrote. “The outside world does not see the truth from them!”

Not sure exactly what set that off, but CNN was ready to clap back at the Trumpster, tweeting that it isn’t the network’s “job to represent the US. to the world.”

“That’s yours,” the network’s comm team wrote. “Our job is to report the news.”

Sen. Bob Corker: I Don't Think There's Any Question Donald Trump Is "Debasing The Nation"

Speaking to reporters this morning, Republican Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee was asked by Mary K. Bruce of ABC News if he felt Donald Trump was "debasing" the United States with his behavior.

Corker was unequivocal in his response: "I don't think there's any question."

In the same interview, Corker said he had hoped Trump would "rise to the occasion as president to lead our nation, instead of dividing it."

Watch below.

In another interview with CNN, Corker had much more to say, including:

"I would hope the staff over there would figure out ways of controlling him when they know that everything he said today was absolutely untrue."

"I think that he's proven himself unable to rise to the occasion ... I don't think that that's possible. He's obviously not going to rise to the occasion as president."

"The President has great difficulty with the truth. On many issues."

"I don't know why he lowers himself to such a low, low standard, and debases our country in a way that he does, but he does."

"I think world leaders are very aware that much of what he says is untrue."

Clearly, the Trumpster was watching. Check out the Twitter rant below from Trump this morning.

But Corker won the exchange tweeting, "Same untruths from an utterly untruthful president." #AlertTheDayCareStaff

The hashtag #AlertTheDayCareStaff immediately began trending on Twitter.

File this one under "Infighting is funny." It's obvious that Corker, who has announced he will not seek reelection next year, has zero fucks left to give about the Trump presidency.

Tweet Of The Day: Anna Navarro

After the hideous far-right politcal pundit Ann Coulter was moved from one seat to another on a Delta Airlines flight this weekend, she went on a Twitter tirade.

Lots of response from the Twitterverse, but CNN's Anna Navarro has to be the best (above).

Here's a bit more:

Trump Mocks MSNBC Host's "Bleeding" Face-Lift, GOP Senators Beg Trump To End Undignified Tweets

President Trump went after “Morning Joe” co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough this morning in a pair of tweets, mocking Brzezinski of “bleeding badly from a face-lift” when she and finance Scarborough visited Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in December.

This is where I should probably remind that First Lady Melania Trump's public platform is to combat cyberbullying. Ironic, no?

This new low caused even Republican senators to finally speaking out about the undignified and disgraceful tweets.

Trump Tweets About SNL Skit Mocking His Twitter Habits

Donald Trump is really showing how thin skinned he really is.

Last night, after Saturday Night Live's cold open poked fun at Trump's Twitter habits, the Trumpster took to (where else?) Twitter to criticize the show calling the skit "unwatchable" and "totally biased."

From TIME:

Saturday’s episode featured Baldwin as the president-elect constantly distracted by his Twitter feed during a national security briefing. The sketch opened in a classroom, where a high school student named Seth was retweeted by Trump—recalling Trump’s real retweet of a 16-year-old named Seth, who attacked CNN over its coverage of Trump’s false claim that millions of people voted illegally.

In an attempt to defend her boss, Kate McKinnon’s Kellyanne Conway said Trump tweets so frequently “to distract the media from his business conflicts and all the very scary people in his cabinet.”

Trump disagreed that he could be so tricky.

“Actually, that’s not why I do it,” he said “I do it because my brain is bad.”

Alec Baldwin had one the best responses to The Donald:

But then there was Danielle Muscato, who's series of tweets to the Trumpster went viral:

Alec Baldwin Schools Donald Trump On How To Be President And It's Awesome

I'm guessing Donald Trump's orange skin is still a bit too thin for Alec Baldwin's hysterical SNL parody of him.

After the Trumpster took to Twitter (for a change) to complain, Alec responded with some advice.

Sounds like Alec would make a great president...

Hillary Trolls Trump With 3AM Tweets For National Service

https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/status/782117968117428224

After Donald Trump's now infamous 3AM Twitter rant early Friday morning attacking former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton unleashed her own 3AM Twitter-storm this morning.

But her early morning tweets were about her proposed expansion of Americorps and a call to young Americans for national service.

“Remember, don’t believe the haters who describe America as hopeless and broken. We should lift each other up, not tear each other down."

Sen. Elizabeth Warren Tweetstorms The Donald After "Goofy" Insult

A few days after Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren used the words "narcissistic" and "racist" to describe presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on her Twitter account, The Donald slapped back with a few jabs of his own.

Not one to back down, Warren hit back on Twitter, calling Trumps response "lame."
