Timelapse Video: Jonas Blizzard 2016 (New York City)
Stunning footage from The Timelapse Group:
We set out to cover New York City's 2nd biggest snowstorm since 1869. Central Park total snow accumulation at the end of the winter storm was 26.8 inches.
We started at 1am Saturday at the Brooklyn Bridge, covering the Dumbo area. We proceeded into the city shortly after and covered midtown Manhattan, Central Park, Columbus Circle, Midtown East, and Queensborough bridge.
By the time we arrived in L.I.C., Queens it was about 6am with zero visibility. We decided to head back to the studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn to call it a night.
Craig Nisperos started his time-lapses mid day Saturday during the storms most intense winds, with winds reaching up to 40+ mph hour. On Sunday we wrapped it up by getting some additional footage and including aerials provided by Magid Metwarry.

NYC's Naked Cowboy Don't Care About No Snowstorm
![]() |
| (via Facebook) |
New York City's Naked Cowboy say, "I don't care about no snowstorm. I got some money to make."
You gotta give it to this guy.
For those outside of NYC, Naked Cowboy has been a fixture in Times Square singing and entertaining for years.

Folks Think It's Snowing In Las Vegas
![]() |
| Snow fall in Las Vegas - January 16, 2005 |
I'm seeing all kinds of reports here in Las Vegas that "it's snowing! It's snowing!"
Kids, what we've got going on here is barely even a flurry or two.
Back in January 2005, we got what some might call a "real" snowfall. (And of course, it was in the middle of landscaping our backyard. Check the pic above.)
And by the way - handsome hubby Michael officially does NOT like snow unless he's skiing on it.

| Michael only likes snow when he's skiing it or looking at it from a ski lodge |
