Colton Haynes Calls Out 'F*cked Up' Hollywood Execs For Not Casting More Out Actors

Arrow/Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes went on an unexplained Twitter rant last night calling out Hollywood power peeps for not hiring more openly LGBT actors.

Haynes did, however, reserve praise for Hollywood execs Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story), Greg Berlanti (Arrow) and Jeff Davis (Teen Wolf) who have cast the handsome Haynes in his three most high-profile roles.

“Hollywood is so f**ked up. So much of the focus is on your personal life & has nothing to do with the talent you have to bring to the table.”

“Thank god for Ryan Murphy, Greg Berlanti, & Jeff Davis. They believe gay actors are more than just their personal lives.

“So disappointed in how Hollywood cant understand that playing a character has nothing to do with how u live your personal life.”

Haynes makes his return to Teen Wolf in the September 10 episode with fellow alum Charlie Carver as a hottie gay were-couple, and will also appear in the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Cult beginning September 5.

Out Actors Colton Haynes & Charlie Carver Return To MTV's TEEN WOLF

On the September 10th episode of MTV's Teen Wolf, out actors Colton Haynes and Charlie Carver return to the hit series in spectacular fashion.

The clip opens with Charlie Carver's "Ethan" making phone calls to an unidentified boyfriend. A boyfriend who has apparently forgotten the couple's anniversary.

Next thing you know two bad guys enter the apartment with a captive with a hood over his head.

After wounding "Ethan" with a shot of wolfsbane, he casually comments that the hooded captive is part "kanima" (which Colton's character used to be). Haynes' "Jackson" is unleashed and a fight ensues as Ethan bemoans the loss of antiques and framed photos.

You may recall that during Colton's two seasons on the series, his character Jackson carried around a whole lotta emotional weight and angst, and I'm guessing his being in the closet was the reason why.

Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis told EW  that Jackson's newly revealed sexuality is something that came to him years ago. “I thought, if Jackson comes back, he’s coming back in a relationship with a guy,” Davis says. “Whether that means he’s bisexual or gay, that’s how he’s returning. I just felt like he went off to London and found himself.”

Charlie Carver adds, “We’re an odd couple. His character’s always been kind of an arrogant prick, so I’m the one who tones him down.”

“They complement each other perfectly,” Colton says. “They have a really beautiful relationship.”

I have to say, even in just this short clip, you can see the two actors have terrific chemistry.

Trailer: Teen Wolf Returns July 30 For Last 10 Episodes

Fans of MTV's Teen Wolf get our first look at the final 10 episodes of the hit series in the newly released trailer below.

In the clip it seems several past cast members return for the big finish including Colton Haynes (who hasn't been seen since season 2), Tyler Hoechlin (last seen season 4), and Charlie Carver (last seen season 3).

In the trailer, war has come to Beacon Hills and Scott (Tyler Posey) and the rest of his supernatural pals find themselves hunted. Naturally, it's time to call in the cavalry.

"You didn't think you were doing this without me, did you?" Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) asks his old pal. And he's just the first of the surprising returns.

"Without us?" a familiar voice asks immediately after Stiles, as the camera pulls back to reveal Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin)—who hasn't been seen around these parts since season four—standing just outside Stiles' truck. Cue Scott's—and our—shocked face.

These final ten episodes pick up with Scott and his pack on the eve of their departure for college, as they discover a new enemy rising in the shadows, which threatens the fate of everything they hold dear. And from the looks of it, Gerard Argent (Michael Hogan) might be at the center of the evil. "Tell him to run," he offers as a warning for Scott. Uh-oh.

Fans of the show have celebrated the multiple LGBT characters and storylines over five and a half seasons.

Teen Wolf returns to MTV for the final ten episodes on Sunday, July 30 8/7c.

Hoechlin will appear as Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman, in the first two episodes of the new season, visiting his cousin Kara (Melissa Benoist) in National City.
