Music Video: Maroon 5 "Wait"

Directed by David Meyers, the new music video for Maroon 5's "Wait" is over-the-top, visually stunning.

Following Adam Levine through a series of wild, fantasy fights with actress Alexandra Daddario, the stakes get higher and higher for the toxic couple as the video shifts from a shirtless, ripped Levine attending his girlfriend's funeral to a world under the sea to an apocalyptic rain of missiles.

“Wait” has quickly climbed up the Top 40 radio chart, and has already clocked over 79 million streams on Spotify and over 10 million on YouTube, since its release last month.

The track is from the band's latest album, Red Pill Blues.

In conjunction with the new album, Maroon 5 also recently announced their Red Pill Blues world tour produced by Live Nation. The first leg of dates are set to kick off on May 30th at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA.

• Embattled Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore told reporters yesterday that "Transgenders don't have rights."

• Folks are so over Kevin Spacey in the wake of the numerous sexual harassment allegations that Ridley Scott has recast Spacey's supporting role in the upcoming All the Money in the World with Christopher Plummer. The entire movie was already filmed, edited and ready to be released in six weeks, but Sony is so freaked out they are going back into production to remove Spacey from the film.

• Gay adult film actor Ali Liam has been arrested for the stabbing death of his boyfriend.

Music Video: Maroon 5 "What Lovers Do" Featuring SZA

Three-time Grammy Award winners Maroon 5 drop their latest music video, "What Lovers Do" featuring SZA.

Following a long tradition of visually impressive videos, the uber-stylized clip chronicles a "larger than life" on-screen romance than spans frolicking in a forest to swimming with dolphins to gameplay in Las Vegas, and an homage to King Kong.

Definitely a bouncy, fun, imaginative romp.

• Tennis legend and newly revealed homophobe Margaret Court says the LGBT community wants to destroy marriage. “There will be no Mother’s Day, there will be no Father’s Day, there will be no Easter, there will be no Christmas.”

• Police in Tanzania arrested 20 "suspected homosexuals" this weekend in an effort to "intensify vigilance" against LGBTs. Conviction of a sexual act “against the order of nature” in Tanzania can lead to up to 30 years behind bars. The 8 men and 12 women were arrested at a hotel where they were attending an HIV/AIDS education training session.

• Clearly concerned about losing the ratings war to MSNBC of late, Fox News is shuffling it's evening schedule to pit far-right pundit Sean Hannity directly opposite MSNBC's ratings champ Rachel Maddow at 9PM.

• Pop star and LGBT ally Demi Lovato says even though magazines and TV seem to be trying "to break" what her sexuality is, she doesn't intend on giving those folks their soundbite. She says watch her upcoming YouTube documentary "Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated" on October 12 for some of those answers offered on her "own terms."

• Always awesome Maroon 5 drops the lyric video and Slushii Remix for their latest single, “What Lovers Do” featuring SZA.

Music Video: Maroon 5 Feat. Future "Cold"

Adam Levine goes on an acid trippy journey in Maroon 5's latest music video, "Cold."

The new music video takes the viewer on a wild ride through a fun, sexy, dark party at Future's place, making the clip a worthy addition to the band's catalog of visually creative music videos.

The single entered at #1 on the Billboard Top Tracks, scoring the group’s third chart-topping start which reached #1 on iTunes, Top 40 and Hot AC charts.

You can find "Cold" on all digital download sites including iTunes and Amazon.

The band kicks off the final leg of their world tour with North American dates beginning February 20 in Milwaukee.

Maroon 5 To North Carolina: No Concerts For You

Maroon 5 joins an extremely long list of entertainment acts to cancel dates in North Carolina over the recently passed anti-LGBT legislation HB2. Both Charlotte and Raleigh will lose dates on the band's schedule.

We have announced that we will be canceling our upcoming shows in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina because of the recent passage of the HB2 legislation.

This was a difficult decision for us to make as a band. We don’t want to penalize our fans in North Carolina by not performing for them, but in the end it comes down to what we feel is morally right.

New Music Video: Maroon 5 "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like A Motherf*cker"

Maroon 5 dropped their latest music video last night, "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like A Motherf*cker."

Sorry for the language; there is a "clean" version out there which replaces "Motherf****r" with "A-ha," but this lyric is clearly the writer's intent so I honor that. Feel free to skip if it's not your thing.

I'm a big fan of the band, and especially Adam Levine (and his bare nakedness that we see a glimpse of in the beginning of the clip).

What would you do if Maroon 5 "crashed" your wedding and played their new single?

According to ET, the wedding couples apparently did NOT know about the band's appearance in advance.

Not sure I buy it, but the video is fun to watch. Big fan of Maroon 5 and Adam Levine.

Back in the early 1980s, when music videos were a "new" thing, the creativity involved was a wide open frontier. So many possibilities.

Narrative, abstract, special effects... so many things to do.

Today, it's hard to come up with something new, in my opinion.

And with that, I invite you to check out Maroon 5's new video for their single "Love Somebody."

With what 'could' be a fairly naked Adam Levine (in body paint and not much more) in what is one of the more creative expressions I've seen in a music video of late.

Adam Levine likes underwear - "don't want things flopping around"

Christina Aguilera, of The Voice, recently declared that she doesn't wear underwear.

In regard to that factoid,  fellow The Voice co-star Adam Levine comes out in defense of the garments:

“It’s so funny ‘cause I love to wear underwear,” he tells AccessHollywood. “I’m not kidding,” the Maroon 5 frontman adds. “It keeps everything in check, you know? Like, I think it’s nice to know everything is set. [With] no underwear… I don’t know what could happen. I don’t want things flopping around. I don’t know if that’s the same for women, it’s a little simpler down there for you guys. I just need a buffer zone between my junk and the outside world.”

Day One for President Adam Levine: legalize same-sex marriage

According to the Advocate, Adam Levine says the first thing he'd do if he were president for one day is legalize same-sex marriage.

During an interview to promote their irresistible new album Overexposed, Levine and Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine are queried on what would be on their agenda if they were president for a single day. "First I'd make gay marriage legal because that's just archaic and ridiculous," Levine says immediately.

Levine, who will make his acting debut in Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story this fall, is a longtime equality advocate, who in 2010 recorded a video for the It Gets Better campaign to help prevent LGBT teen suicide.
