Average State of the Union lengths by president from LBJ to Obama

The graphic shows the average length of words of State of the Union addresses for each president from Lyndon B. Johnson to today.

It would appear that Democrats, other than Jimmy Carter, like to talk more than Republicans.

Being a Dem myself, I can personally attest to this.
