Numbers, numbers, numbers
New York Times/CBS poll:
• 72% disapprove of how Republicans handled debt negotiations vs. 47% who said that about President Obama
• Tea Party - favorable 20%/unfavorable 40% vs. 26% fav/29% unfav in April
• By a ratio of 2 to 1, Americans said creating jobs should be higher priority than spending cuts
• President Obama's approval remains at 48% while House Speaker John Boehner's disapproval sky-rocketed to 57%
Unemployment Numbers:
• 117,000 jobs were added in July (including 154,000 private-sector jobs), and the unemployment rate dropped from 9.2% to 9.1%.
