"Alaska is dealing with a record heat wave right now and everyone is doing what they can to stay cool. Even the wildlife.

"This moose was just chilling under a sprinkler after sprinkler hopping from yard to yard before finally settling down for a good soak.

"High temperatures will continue to take a run at 90 degrees. Normal temps this time of a year in anchorage are in the mid 60's."

National Zoo's Panda Bear LIVING For The Heavy Snow Fall

While the rest of the east coast copes with the massive blizzard, 19-year-old Tian Tian, a 275-pound panda at Washington D.C.’s National Zoo, seems quite happy to play all day.

Baby Panda Tries To Runaway From Nap Time

Mama is enjoying a meal after a busy day of parenting. She thinks her baby is asleep, but the video shows the little panda baby wandering around the rooms at Taipei Zoo. Finally, the baby peeks in, and Mom notices that her baby is wide awake. She immediately drops her food and runs to grab her baby. Mom literally drags him back to bed!

• A month ago, the anti-LGBT group One Million Moms launched a boycott against Frito Lay/Pepsico due to the company's "rainbow Doritos," which was a limited run of colorful chips with the intent to raise money against bullying. Not only did the chips sell out in 24 hours, the company's stock has gone up 10% in one month. Good job, OMM!

Baby Elephants In The Pool

From the Houston Zoo:

Baylor (weighs more than 1100 pounds) and Tupelo (weighs more than 600 pounds) now get a family size pool which is 120 inches in length and holds both calves. It is a lot more durable. Apparently, the calves more "baby" sized pool would only last about five minutes before popping.

This size pool lasts for about 5 uses before it has to be replaced. Playing in the pool is a fun enrichment activity for the babies and the pool is given to them when the weather allows. Pool time is unannounced and unplanned.

Uber-cute Bear cub puts on a show on golf course green

Two minutes of furry cuteness as this bear cub (four-legged kind) wanders onto a golf green in British Columbia and becomes fascinated by the pole marking the hole.

He then turns his attention to a golf ball, just waiting to be played with.

Baby seal catches a ride on cute surfer's board

Mathew Stanley captured this GoPro footage of a baby seal climbing on his board and playing with him and a friend in the water.

“Me and my friend Andrew Flounders were out enjoying some summer waves when this little guy came along and scared the hell out of Andy because we didn’t know what it was! It nudged his foot from underneath,” he explained.

After an hour or so of playing around with the pup, the guys decided to head back to the shore, but the little guy hadn’t finished and tried to follow them up the beach. “When we got home Andy rang the local marine wildlife authority to make them aware of what occurred just in case the seal was unwell… He didn’t seem unwell when he was surfing in like a pro!”

Rare "Zonkey" born in Mexico

A zonkey, the offspring of a cross between a zebra and a donkey, named "Khumba" has been born for the first time in Mexico.

Khumba's mother, a zebra, lives among exotic animals in the zoo;  his father, an albino dwarfed blue-eyed donkey, lives in a nearby farm.

Could liitle Khumba be any cuter?
