Madonna Banned From Backstage After Texting During off-Broadway Musical

Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and star of the currently the hottest musical theater ticket in NYC - HAMILTON - took to Twitter this past Saturday night to share the news that had requested that a celeb be banned from coming backstage after a performance at the Public Theater.

The celeb? Madonna.

The reason? Her lack of theatre etiquette. Apparently, the Queen of Pop annoyed the cast and audience by constantly texting throughout the second act of the musical.

Tweeted Miranda: "Tonight was the first time I asked stage management NOT to allow a celebrity (who was texting all through Act 2) backstage. #noselfieforyou"

The tweet was later deleted, but audience member Casey Erin Clark expressed her frustration after the show on Twitter:

Madge is well-known for her inability to keep off her phone. In 2013, the Alamo Drafthouse movie theatre chain banned Madonna from its theatres after reports that she was texting during a New York Film Festival screening of "12 Years a Slave."

HAMILTON is currently closing out it's off-Bway run before heading to Broadway this summer at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, with previews beginning on July 13th.

Actor Shia LaBeouf removed from audience at Broadway's CABARET

Actor Shia LaBeouf was not only escorted out of a performance of Cabaret on Broadway tonight in handcuffs. And according to sources, it got stranger and stranger.

Apparently, due to spitting on police officers he had to be restrained in a face mask.

The 28-year-old actor was escorted out of the performance in handcuffs during intermission after he was “slapping random people on the behind and on the back of the head. He was also smoking.”

When taken to the Midtown North precinct, who got a little rowdy with the cops who were trying to take of his handcuffs. He told them, “F–k you. I’ll f–k you up,” a source told Page Six.

The cops decided not to take the handcuffs off after he said that, so he started spitting at the officers, who then put him in a face mask.

Las Vegas: Elton John has temper tantrum onstage, booing ensues

Apparently, Elton John wasn't having a good time during his concert last night at the Colosseum in Las Vegas

From Norm Clark:

During one of his outbursts at the Colosseum, the Rocket Man exploded, saying “somebody in my production team is (bleeping) fired,” a backstage spy told the Review-Journal.

“He made an ass of himself,” said the source.

The 65-year-old six-time Grammy winner started his show 20 minutes later and ended it 25 minutes early, according to the source.

Stagehands were seen mopping up water after each of John’s outbursts. Booing erupted after the fourth time he threw his water glass.

This was caught on video by 12 cameras shooting during the show as a dancer posted on Twitter saying she was shooting a video with the singing legend.

Today in shady doings...

A New Jersey jury unanimously decided that Americo Lopes had cheated his coworkers out of their share of a $38.5 Mega Millions jackpot lottery pool on Wednesday.

The panel rejected the 52-year-old's claims that he had won the jackpot on a personal ticket and not with the ticket that he had bought as part of the lottery pool.

Attorney Rubin Sinins, who represented the five men, said each was awarded $4 million because the jackpot was worth $24 million after Lopes chose the cash option.

The men began playing the lottery together in 2007 while they worked for Berto Construction Inc.

When Lopes hit the Mega Millions Jackpot in Nov. 2009, he told his boss he wouldn't be returning because he needed foot surgery, which he never reportedly received. He also filed for unemployment benefits after claiming the $17,433,966 prize after taxes.
