"Make America Gay Again" Sign Posted Next Door To Mike Pence Vacation Home

Vice President Mike Pence surely got the message posted on the mailbox next door to the home he's vacationing at in Aspen, Colorado.

And that message was, "Make America Gay Again."

Neighbors of the home near Aspen where Pence and his wife, Karen, are staying posted the message Wednesday or Thursday on a stone pillar that sits at the end of driveways to both homes, Pitkin County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Buglione told the Aspen Times.

Pence, a well-known homophobe who has fought LGBT rights for years, has described himself as a “Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order.”

Live-Feed: Women's March On Washington

If you can't take part in the Women’s March on Washington today, where folks of all stripes will take a stand for the rights of all Americans, you can watch via the live stream below.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to gather in the nation’s capital for a peaceful gathering to “promote women’s equality and defend other marginalized groups.” Additionally, there are over 600 sister events occurring worldwide as well.

Today’s rally in Washington begins at 10AM and ends at 1:15PM.

The march begins at 1:15.

Huge Protest In Front Of Trump Tower Led By Cher, Robert De Niro, Alec Baldwin, Mark Ruffalo

Thousands showed up last night in front of Trump Tower in New York City to protest in anticipation of the Trump administration.

Stars including Alec Baldwin, Julianne Moore, Cher, Mark Ruffalo, Shailene Woodley, Marissa Tomei, Robert De Niro, Sally Field, Rosie Perez, Michael Moore, Cynthia Nixon, and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio all spoke and sang at the rally, which was held outside of Trump Tower.

Protester Rushes Stage At Hillary Clinton Rally, Clinton Doesn't Flinch

The Independent is reporting on an animal rights activist who rushed the stage at a Hillary Clinton rally as the former Secretary of State was speaking.

Hillary Clinton was rushed at by an animal rights protester during a speech on the economy, the second time in a week. Ms Clinton was talking in Des Moines, Iowa, and facing the other way as a woman launched herself over the barrier and towards the stage.

She has been named as 26-year-old Kelsey Atkinson from campaign group Direct Action Everywhere, which fights for “total animal liberation”. Just as the protester got to the steps, Secret Service staff pulled Ms Atkinson away.

You'll note as the Secret Service take the protester down in the background Hillary doesn't even flinch or break stride as she continues talking on her policy proposals.

UK Man Trolls Anti-Gay Trolls At Chester Pride Festival

In a video posted to Vimeo Sunday, Dean Paton from Chester-based ‘heritage and education’ company Big Heritage decided on his own plan to handle anti-gay trolls who held signs protesting the Pride Festival in Chester, England.

He calmly took his place next to the haters holding sign with hate speech, then unrolled his own sign which read: "Homophobes are statistically more likely to be gay."

NYC: Over 300,000 take part in The People's Climate March"

Ahead of this week's United Nations Climate Summit, over 300,000 people from around the world marched through Manhattan to bring awareness to the growing concerns for man's affect on the environment.

Among those attending the march were U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon, former U.S. vice president Al Gore, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and actors Mark Ruffalo and Leonardo DiCaprio.

The next time someone tells you "no one cares about climate change," show them this picture.

ACT UP and Queer Nation disrupt another Stoli guy event

This happened last night in NYC at Marquee.

First Lady heckled at Washington, DC fund-raiser

First Lady Michelle Obama was confronted by a protester tonight at a private DNC fundraiser in Washington, D.C.

Ellen Sturtz, 56, a lesbian activist, interrupted her remarks to demand that President Obama sign an anti-discrimination executive order.

The First Lady apparently walked over to address Sturtz eye to eye, according to witnesses.
“One of the things that I don’t do well is this,” she said to applause from most of the guests, according to a White House transcript. “Do you understand?”

Sturtz was escorted out of the room. Sturtz said in an interview later she was stunned by Obama’s response.

“She came right down in my face,” Sturtz said. “I was taken aback.”

“I said I want your husband to sign the executive order,” Sturtz said. “Her husband could sign this order tonight and protect 22 percent of the work force in this country.”

I have to say - Sturtz was "taken aback" that the First Lady walked over to her eye to eye? So, Sturtz was hoping to have an anonymous, well-distanced protest?

The proposed executive order that prompted Sturtz’s outburst would prohibit federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. That would be a good thing. The First Lady, however, is not the person to protest.

I believe the President signing an executive order to outlaw LGBT discrimination in the workplace by federal contractors is a good thing. I do. But protesting the First Lady isn't the place to get the message across.
