Total asshole “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli was sentenced to 7 years in prison today for defrauding investors.

Shkreli reportedly sobbed as U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto announced the prison sentence saying he knew he'd made mistakes and apologized to his investors.

Prosecutors had called for a 15 years in prison while Shkreli's lawyers argued for 18 months or less because his investors in two failed hedge funds got their money back, and their client shouldn’t be punished for being outspoken.

Judge Matsumoto assured the defense team did not take Shkreli's outside actions into account in the sentencing.

The "Pharma Bro" became infamous for jacking up the price of a life-saving AIDS drug by 5,000% from $13 to $750 overnight. That was followed by trolling his many critics on Twitter with his snarky personality.

Martin Shkreli once smirked at members of Congress when they pleaded for him to realize sick people were dying.

Today’s sentencing went differently, as Shkreli sobbed and begged the court for mercy. He deserved no mercy and that’s what he got.

Martin "Pharma Douche" Shkreli Has Bail Revoked After Encouraging Followers To Grab Hillary Clinton's Hair

Martin "Pharma Douche" Shkreli just learned how his smart-ass ways can get him locked up without bail.

Last week, while awaiting sentencing after being convicted of defrauding investors, Shkreli took to Facebook offering to pay his followers $5,000 if they would grab a strand of Hillary Clinton's hair during her book tour.

In court yesterday, U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto found no humor in the antics and revoked his bail.

Shkreli, who faces up to 20 years in prison for securities fraud, apologized in writing, saying that he did not expect anyone to take his online comments seriously, and his attorneys pleaded with the judge Wednesday to give him another chance.

“The fact that he continues to remain unaware of the inappropriateness of his actions or words demonstrates to me that he may be creating ongoing risk to the community,” said Judge Matsumoto, as she revoked his bond.

“This is a solicitation of assault. That is not protected by the First Amendment.”

Shkreli is facing up to 20 years in prison for securities fraud.

He'll now remain locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until his sentencing in January 2018.

One of Donald Trump's earliest supporters in Congress, Rep. Duncan Hunter, one of Donald Trump’s first allies in Congress, used colorful language in touting the president as their champion at a Riverside County Young Republicans meeting in a Murrieta sports bar.

“He’s just like he is on TV,” Hunter, R-Alpine, told the group. “He’s an asshole, but he’s our asshole.”

According to the San Diego Union Tribune, Hunter’s chief of staff did not respond to emails for comment. His voice mailbox was filled and could not accept more messages.

Massachusetts: GOP State Senate Candidate Ted Busiek LIkes To Use The Word "Faggots"

Raw Story has the details on current Republican Massachusetts state Senate candidate Ted Busiek, who recently praised Donald Trump for "putting self-righteous faggots in their place."

Oh - but Busiek didn't mean "faggot" as a slur, however that works.

MSNBC’s All In With Chris Hayes pointed out during a broadcast last week that Trump had complained to the Native American affairs subcommittee in 1993 that some reservations did not deserve to receive gaming licenses because “they don’t look like Indians to me.”

Ted Busiek, who is running for Massachusetts Senate, responded on Saturday by lauding Trump’s remarks.

“DONALD TRUMP. Putting self-righteous faggots in their place since 1993. How I love this fellow,” he wrote.

Busiek later insisted to State House News Service that he did not use the word “faggot” in a “hateful sense.” The candidate said that term was used to show that the congressman questioning Trump was “obnoxious” and “kind of being a jerk.”

“It’s hard for me to get exercised over naughty words,” he explained. “You can insult somebody without being hateful.”

Busiek, who opposes same-sex marriage and adoption rights, said that he was standing up for “anybody who works for a living,” especially those who had “oppressor status” for being white, male and wealthy.

Tony Perkins: Bruce Springsteen & Bryan Adams Oppose The Bill Of Rights

Virulently anti-gay hate group leader Tony Perkins has his panties in a wad because Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams didn't want to pretend like it's "business as usual" after the passage of LGBT "hate laws" in North Carolina and Mississippi.

He was born to run all right. Bruce Springsteen is blowing off his tour date in North Carolina Friday because the state is daring to let businesses set their own bathroom policies. What a scandalous idea! Like other liberal extremists, The Boss (or is it Bossy?) is furious that the North Carolina government won’t barge into board rooms and tell companies how to operate. Apparently he wants to do away with the free market principles that are making conservative states thrive and orchestrate a hostile takeover of businesses. “Some things are more important than a rock show, and this fight against prejudice and bigotry — which is happening as I write — is one of them.”

“Important things” like letting grown men use a girls’ restroom? Of course, Springsteen hasn’t canceled his two Brooklyn concerts later this month — despite the fact that New York State doesn’t have gender-free bathrooms either. (Nor do 32 other states!) But then, no one ever accused liberals of being consistent. “It’s disappointing he’s not following through on his commitments,” Rep. Mark Walker (R-N.C.) fired back. “Bruce is known to be on the radical left, and he’s got every right to be so, but I consider this a bully tactic.”

And Springsteen isn’t the only singer working in concert with LGBT activists. Bryan Adams is pulling out of his Biloxi, Mississippi stop because he says he can’t “in good conscience” perform there. Ironically, conscience is exactly what this debate is about! Shouldn’t Mississippians have the same right to exercise theirs? Shouldn’t they be able to choose what events they participate in? Because that’s exactly what the new law is about: giving Christians the same rights to live out their beliefs as someone like Bryan Adams. The Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act does what the First Amendment was intended to: guard men and women with natural marriage views from state-sponsored persecution. If you’re against that, then you’re against the Bill of Rights!

Among many things, what Perkins gets wrong here is these "bathroom laws" are not really about heterosexual men wanting to dress up in drag to get a peek at women using the bathroom. There have been no reported incidences of that happening in states which have passed LGBT protections.

What all this mean-spirited legislation is about is retaliation for the legalization of marriage equality across the country.

"We can't keep gays and lesbians from marrying? Fine! We'll attack from another angle."

Let me illustrate how silly these laws are: See this guy in the pic below? This transgender man will now be forced to use the ladies room in these states.

I'd love someone to show this to one of the idiots who voted for these bills and ask how they would feel about their wives and daughters using the ladies room with him?

After hiking the price of Daraprim (a $1 pill taken primarily by AIDS patients) over 5000%, Martin Shkreli  - the most hated man in pharmaceuticals - is about to be torpedoed by the maker of generic drugs who now plan on selling the pill for $1 again.

San Diego-based Imprimis Pharmaceuticals Inc., which mixes approved drug ingredients to fill individual patient prescriptions, said Thursday it will supply capsules containing Daraprim's active ingredients, pyrimethamine and leucovorin, for $99 for a 100-capsule bottle, via its site: www.imprimiscares.com.

The 3 1/2-year-old drug compounding firm also plans to start making inexpensive versions of other generic drugs whose prices have skyrocketed, Chief Executive Mark Baum told The Associated Press.

"We are looking at all of these cases where the sole-source generic companies are jacking the price way up," Baum said in an interview. "There'll be many more of these" compounded drugs coming in the near future.

Arizona Pastor Says It's Ok To Pray for "Some" Folks To Die

Ah, Pastor Stephen Anderson of Arizona's Faithful Word Baptist Church. You make every well-meaning pastor's job so, so, so much harder.

You'll recall he once said America could have an "AIDS-free" Christmas if the country would just kills all the gays...?

My best friend is an Episcopal priest. I'm sure she would NOT endorse this kind of preaching.

Anderson went off again half-cocked recently and lost his mind over Caitlyn Jenner's coverage in the media.

He starts out saying it's TOTALLY cool to pray for folks you don't like to die. Just so you know.

Then, at the 1:15 mark he starts talking about Caityn Jenner (referring to her as "filthy sodomite" and "filthy pervert" and "trans-freak") who he claims he had never heard of before.

There's this bon mot: "I'm gonna pray that he dies and goes to hell."

At the 3:10 mark: "I hate him with a perfect hatred. I have NO love for this 'Bruce' freak."

By the way, Caitlyn, this guy is probably part of YOUR Republican party. Just saying...

Former game show host/current late night infomercial huckster Chuck Woolery perpetuates the flat out lie that churches will lose their tax-exempt status if they refuse to host same-sex marriages.

It should be noted that Woolery - champion for the sanctity of marriage - is on his 4th wife.

A Guy Being A "Jack" Ass In Colorado About A Cake

A guy named Bill Jack walks into a bakery...

Walking into a bakery and requesting a cake be made to say "God hates fags" so you can attempt to make some point about "religious freedom" just makes you an asshole.

Bill Jack says he was discriminated against based on his creed. "Creed" is defined as "a formal statement of religious belief."

In no account of this story ANYWHERE has it been reported that the baker refused on religious grounds. She admits she refused to write discriminatory hate speech.

She offered to make the cake and provide the asshole with icing so he could write his own bigoted statements. You can't force someone to write (or say) what you want them to say if they don't believe it themselves. This violates folks freedom of speech.

It's also of interest that Jack specifically would not allow the paper with his desired hate speech to leave his hands. Hmm - worried about evidence landing somewhere, Mr. Jack?

Where this differs greatly from the anti-gay bakers in Colorado last year is two issues:

1. That baker specifically said he wouldn't make a wedding cake for a gay couple's wedding because it was a gay wedding. Because "gay." Colorado outlaws discrimination based on sexual orientation. And the baker pointedly said that was what his decision was based on.

2. No one asked the baker last year to write anything specifically "pro" or "anti" anything on a wedding cake. As a matter of fact, it's never been reported if ANY writing was requested. All that was ordered was "a wedding cake." The baker was not being required to write anything specific to pro-gay messaging.

Arkansas Anti-Gay Leader Super Mad Over The "Tyranny" Of Equal Rights For Gays

The head of the anti-gay Arkansas Family Council, Jerry Cox, is super-mad about yesterday's ruling by a federal judge which struck down the state's ban on same-sex marriage.

"This is another example of judicial tyranny.

"Arkansans voted overwhelmingly to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Their elected officials voted for that definition when they passed Arkansas’ Defense of Marriage Act.

"By issuing this ruling, one federal judge is saying seventy-five percent of Arkansas voters and lawmakers do not matter. If that isn’t tyranny, I don’t know what is.

"What Judge Baker effectively did was erase Arkansas’ definition of marriage. It opens the door for marriage to become anything. We have already seen polygamists in Utah and elsewhere try to ride the coat tails of same-sex marriage activists in court. Rulings like this one only fuel those efforts.

"If Americans are not free to decide how they will define something as basic as marriage, then what are they free to decide?”

I love the line - "If that isn’t tyranny, I don’t know what is."

Seriously? Letting people who love each other marry is YOUR definition of "tyranny?"

Fox News' Todd Starnes: Pastors will go to prison because of gay rights

Appearing on the Daystar program Joni, Fox News' outrageous Todd Starnes predicts that gay rights will lead to the imprisonment of pastors and restrictions on the freedom of speech, adding that Christians in America are being “persecuted” and “beat up” just like Chinese Christians.

During the same appearance, Starnes suggested that due to progress for gay rights, "man/dog marriage" is on the way...
