Channing Tatum Announces "Magic Mike Live! Las Vegas" Coming In 2017

Channing Tatum announces MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS

Via press release:

Actor and producer Channing Tatum has heard the call of women everywhere, clamoring for more Magic Mike. Next spring, their dreams will come true as Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas will become the permanent home of Mike Lane, America’s favorite handyman-turned-stripper, with MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS – a complete re-imagination of the male revue based on the hit movies “Magic Mike” and “Magic Mike XXL.”

Currently anticipated to open for preview performances in March 2017, MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS will recreate the mythic Club Domina with a sizzling 360-degree dance and acrobatic strip tease spectacular, guaranteed to bring on the heat.

“‘Magic Mike’ has been a special and very personal project for me, and this show is a natural extension of that,” said Tatum. “So while I won’t be on stage as Mike, MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS is my vision and I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time in Las Vegas creating something that will give women what they really want.”

The experience starts as you enter Club Domina, a real life version of the club at the foundation of “Magic Mike XXL,” where men cater to women’s desires. The fully re-envisioned cabaret nightclub space will be unlike any other in Las Vegas with three elaborately designed bars, an integrated stage and seating for 450 guests. Expressly created to capture the magnetism of a film franchise that has grossed nearly $300 million, this new venue and its immersive production will be one of the most unique entertainment experiences in Las Vegas.

In a show that happens in front of, behind, above and all around the audience, a dozen of the hottest and most talented men in the country will bring Mike and his crew to life through sexy and daring themed dance and strip routines, each punctuated by one-of-a-kind acts from a wildly diverse cast of performers.

In addition to direction and creative leadership from Tatum, film franchise choreographer Alison Faulk will once again reprise her role, creating the stage show’s choreography.

MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS has also struck a content partnership with the leading digital media property Cosmopolitan.com to create original video series and content designed to drive excitement and engagement around the show.

Visit MagicMikeLiveLasVegas.com for the most up to date information about the show, the cast and priority ticket opportunities.

But what about Joe Manganiello? Will HE be there on stage? We want "Big Dick Richie!" We want "Big Dick Richie!"

Trailer: "Pee-Wee's Big Holiday"

Premiering March 18th on Netflix, Paul Reubens brings "Pee-Wee Herman" back to celluloid life to remind us that it's just fine to be different in Pee-Wee's Big Holiday.

Bonus points here as Randy Report favorite Joe Manganiello co-stars as a mysterious, chocolate shake-drinking stranger who encourages Pee-Wee to get out and LIVE a bit.

For those of you who wonder how "Pee-Wee" seems to stay eternally youthful,  Reubens told Business Insider recently that Netflix spent about $2 million on digital retouching.

Said Reubens, "Pee-wee doesn't work, to me, with age mixed into it."

Magic Mike XXL Grosses $27 Million In Opening Weekend

The Channing Tatum-led Magic Mike XXL look to land at the #4 position at the box office this weekend, behind Inside Out, Jurassic World and Terminator: Genisys.

From Variety.com:

Warner’s stripper sequel “Magic Mike XXL” wound up with $27 million at 3,355 sites for the five days, with a 96% female audience. Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer reprised their roles from the 2012 sleeper hit. Performance was front-loaded with $15 million in its first two days but with a budget of just $14.8 million, “Magic Mike XXL” is already in the black for the studio.

The original “Magic Mike” opened on the June 29-July 1 weekend three years ago with a stunning $39.1 million on its way to a $113 million domestic total.

Disney-Pixar's Inside Out smoked the competition even in it's third week of release with over $45 million in domestic box office.

Shirtless Magic Mike XXL Stars Cover Entertainment Weekly

A shirtless trio of MAGIC MIKE XXL stars - Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer - grace the cover of Entertainment Weekly in advance of the the upcoming July 1st premiere of the hit movie sequel.

A bit odd looking as it's clearly a composite, but nice to see the shirtless view :)

Morning Joe

Details Magazine shares additional images from Joe Manganiello's recent photo shoot.

In the interview Details asked if he minded "being treated like eye candy?" His response:
"Why would I?" he says. "I don't think men care why women like them, as long as they do. That's the point of the nerd in high school who makes it big. You work that hard for a reason. You want to have access to the dating pool."
More images at Details.

Cosmopolitan Demonstrates What Is "Magic" About MAGIC MIKE XXL

The good news - MAGIC MIKE XXL released a new movie poster today in advance of the upcoming July 1st release date, and it's totally working for me.

And just to show why they've got the "magic," Cosmopolitan did their own photoshoot with average guys recreating the film's posters. The exercise clearly demonstrates that a pose does not "magic" make.

Unfortunately, everyone can't be a "Magic Mike." Take a look at the photo shoot vid below.

Nick The Gardener "Behind The Scenes" of MAGIC MIKE XXL

Channing Tatum and Nick the Gardener on the set of MAGIC MIKE XXL

Ellen takes us on a "behind the scenes" look at Nick the Gardener's day filming the upcoming MAGIC MIKE XXL. Along the way, Nick meets up with Joe Manganiello and Channing Tatum to compare notes.

Unfortunately, near the end of the segment Ellen spilled something on her shirt, but Nick - ever the gentleman - offers her his.

What a guy.

Joe Manganiello Joins Cast of Pee-Wee Herman's New Movie

My favorite announcement of the week!

From Pee-Wee's blog:

Finally! I can announce the secret I’ve been carrying around with me for weeks: the coolest actor on the planet, my friend Joe Manganiello, is joining the cast of my new movie, ‘Pee-wee’s Big Holiday’. Who does he play? I didn’t say…

Joe’s already my friend in real life– and he’s tremendously talented and a terrific person! I am so glad we are FINALLY going to get to work together! This totally makes up for being cut out of ‘Magic Mike’ and ‘Magic Mike 2’!”

Manganiello remarked, “Paul Reubens is one of the great comic geniuses of our time. Growing up, my Saturday mornings were all about Pee-wee Herman. I saw everything he did. I can’t believe that I’m going to get to share scenes with one of the iconic figures of my childhood.”

I'm a HUGE Pee-Wee Herman fan. (And of course Joe, but that goes without saying...)

Well, hello Joe Manganiello.  It's been a while since we last saw you.
