Returning with wit and grace, iconic 90s sitcom Will & Grace returned to NBC last night.
The original stars - fearsome foursome Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally - deftly proved the chemistry last seen 11 years ago still remains, as does as their audience.
From The Hollywood Reporter:
The first episode of what will be at least two more seasons of the landmark Peacock sitcom averaged a 2.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 10 million viewers. That puts it atop all other TV efforts for the night — save CBS' Thursday Night Football. It also ranked as one of the top entertainment programs of Premiere Week, trailing only The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon and This Is Us.
Jumping right into the deep end, last night's episode showed the writers have no problem addressing the "orange Cheeto in the room," taking us all on a field trip to the White House.
Grace gets a gig redecorating the Oval Office, Will flirts with a conservative congressman, Jack gets a smooch from a beefy Secret Service agent (hunky Kyle Bornheimer) and Karen kept the boozy clever quips coming.
All in all, it felt like comfort food to have the fab four back.
Good stuff.
