New York-based pop duo comprising of Emma Lov and Jackson Foote are back with their new single “Out of My Head.”
Written and produced by Emma and Jackson, this song is the first track to feature vocals by both as well.
Loote describes it as "an emotional roller coaster. It's about being stuck and weird and feeling like you can't get out of your own crazy. And it's an ode to that one person or thing you can rely on; you like that they get you out of that shit. The chorus is this celebratory moment that’s kind of a ‘thank you’ to them.”
I like. It's definitely mainstream pop, and the song is playful and has a great build without losing it's sense of self.
Coming from a singer-songwriter background, Emma finds pop alchemy with Jackson’s production technique in fresh and unexpected ways.
Jackson describes the collaboration as “a combination of two personalities and where they meet in the middle. We’re different in a lot of ways, and you can hear that in our music, but in a lot of ways we’re also very similar and you can pick up on that too.”
