As he displayed an appalling lack of moral courage taking days to denounce the white supremacists' violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, this past weekend, an uplifting tweet from President Obama became the most "Liked" in Twitter history.

On Saturday evening, Obama shared a Nelson Mandela quote: “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion…”

It became the tweet seen 'round the world.

At this writing, the tweet has been 'Liked" over 3.1 million times, and retweeted by 1.2 million people.
