Chris Ruddy, longtime friend of Donald Trump and CEO of right-leaning news outlet Newsmax, told PBS' Judy Woodruff today that Trump is "considering perhaps terminating" special counsel Robert Mueller, who is currently leading the Trump-Russia investigation.

Rep. Adam Schiff has spelled out how this could play out:
If President fired Bob Mueller, Congress would immediately re-establish independent counsel and appoint Bob Mueller. Don't waste our time.
