SNL Cold Open: Alec Baldwin's "Trump" Scraps Pesky Campaign Promises

Alec Baldwin made his return as Saturday Night Live‘s "Donald Trump," with the President-elect more confused than ever, and concerned that he may not know how to go about "presidenting."

The skit includes Mike Pence’s now-infamous visit to Broadway:

Trump: “I heard you went to see Hamilton. How was that?”

Pence: "It was good. I got a free lecture."

Trump: "I heard they booed you."

Pence: "Absolutely."

Trump: "I love you, Mike. You're the reason I'm never going to get impeached."

The meat of the sketch, though, addressed Trump’s impending realization of his woeful lack of unpreparedness for the presidency.
