President Obama's remarks on the outcome of the presidential election.
Obama congratulates president-elect Donald Trump, and has invited him to meet at the White House on Thursday to begin conversations that will ensure a peaceful transfer of power.
"We are all rooting for his success in leading and uniting the country."
Press secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement that the president called both Trump and Hillary Clinton following the results of the election early Wednesday.
