Hillary Clinton Campaign Responds To FBI Announcement On Email Investigation

"We are pleased that the career officials handling this case have determined that no further action by the department is appropriate. As the Secretary has long said, it was a mistake to use her personal email and she would not do it again. We are glad that this matter is now resolved."

Hillary Clinton's campaign spokesman Brian Fallon issued this statement in response to the announcement today by FBI Director James Comey that he would not recommend any charges against the former secretary of state in the investigation into her use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State.

"We are pleased that the career officials handling this case have determined that no further action by the Department is appropriate," Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon said in a statement. "As the Secretary has long said, it was a mistake to use her personal email and she would not do it again. We are glad that this matter is now resolved."
