Celine Dion's Husband, René Angélil, Passes Away

From ExtraTV:

Singer Céline Dion’s husband and longtime manager René Angélil has died, reports People. He was 73.

His rep told the magazine in a statement, "Rene Angélil, 73, passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer. The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details will be provided at a later time."

TMZ reports that his death came as a shock because he had been feeling better lately, and had even planned to attend business meetings on Thursday.

Angélil is survived by Dion and their sons René-Charles, 14, and 5-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy, as well as his adult children from a previous relationship, Anne-Marie, Patrick, and Jean-Pierre.
