| Tom Welling to return to TV with Section 13 on CBS |
According to Deadline, ever-handsome (and former Smallville star) is set to star in a new TV series for CBS.
Written by Bones alumna Carla Kettner, Section 13 centers on a CIA black ops officer-turned-private contractor (Welling) who, after a personal tragedy, joins a covert organization devoted to carrying out the most difficult and dangerous high-stakes assignments. Welling and Kettner executive produce.
Since his star-making stint as Clark Kent/Superman on Smallville, which ended its 10-season run in 2011, Welling had been focused on features as an actor, co-starring in Parkland and Draft Day. He will next be seen in The Choice.
I think, to state the obvious, that 38 year old Welling proves the old adage that "like a fine wine," he just gets better and better.
