As longtime readers of The Randy Report know, I had a career on Broadway as an actor and dancer for many years before the birth of this blog. And thankfully, I still work in the theater several times a year.
As I am about to embark on choreographing the classic musical West Side Story in San Diego in a couple of weeks, I'm currently working in the studio and doing research for what lies ahead of me.
I like to include the journey and genesis of these productions on The Randy Report, so over the next several weeks I'll share a bit of what I'm looking at, researching and some behind-the-scenes peeks as we travel along this creative endeavor.
Today I was looking back on the movie version of West Side Story (10 Academy Awards, don't you know...) and had to post this clip starring the fab Rita Moreno and George Chakiris.
