My buddy Matt Rettenmund of Boy Culture points up this gorgeous live version of the Oscar winning hit "The Morning After" from The Poseidon Adventure sung by the still fantastic Maureen McGovern.
Movie buffs will remember the film takes place on New Year's Eve/Day.
How about that voice? Easily one of my favorite recording artists of all time. And on top of that, my hubby Michael worked with the marvelous McGovern, and she's just as fab a person as she is a musician.
I've had the enormous pleasure of meeting Maureen several times, including backstage at "Three Penny Opera" on Broadway! Her voice is truly a miracle, and puts to shame those of many of our more well-known "divas". Counting the seconds until she releases a new album.
