Unemployment Drops Below 6%


The September jobs report is out, and for the first time since July 2008, the unemployment rate has dropped below 6%.

With 248,000 new jobs added to the economy (analysts had predicted 215,000), the US unemployment rate drops to 5.9%.

Thus far, in 2014, 2.6 million jobs have been created and the trend continues to accelerate.

The private sector has added 10.3 million jobs over 55 straight months of job growth.
