Journey's Steve Perry takes to the stage for first time in 19 years

For the first time in 19 years, former Journey front man Steve Perry took to the stage this past weekend to sing a few songs with the Eels during their curtain call at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minn.

From USA Today:

Perry, 65, has had health problems, notes Yahoo.com – arthritis, hip-replacement surgery in 1998, two melanoma-removal surgeries in 2013. But Sunday it just felt “right,” said Eels leader Mark Everett, for Perry to return to the stage. After hearing the audience’s enthusiastic response to Perry’s first song, Everett cracked: “They don’t applaud like that for me! I guess I gotta disappear for 25 years!”

Check the 4:30 mark for Perry singing Journey classic "Open Arms."
