Happy, happy birthday to the fab Vanessa Williams. Like a fine wine, just keeps getting better (if that's possible).
I've known Vanessa since we were freshmen music theater majors together at Syracuse University. One of my favorite things about V - among many - is that she is still who she always has been. Time may go by between seeing each other, but she's always warm, funny and laughing every time we catch up.
Some days I might reach out to ask her something via text and she responds immediately. Don't you love friends that do that?
Wishing this gorgeous and talented mother of four the best birthday yet.
I'd play one of her big hits, "Save the Best for Last," except she's so far from "the last" that it doesn't make sense today.
Instead, this is from one of her recent CDs "The Real Thing." Watch and you'll see why she is still leaving audiences "breathless."
