Bebe Neuwirth to return to TV with CBS' "Madam Secretary"

Excellent casting news from The Hollywood Reporter - Bebe Neuwirth will be returning to TV in the news series CBS series "Madam Secretary."

Created and written by Homeland's Barbara Hall, the drama centers on the personal and professional life of a maverick female secretary of state (Tea Leoni) as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life.

Neuwirth will play Nadine, the chief of staff to Leoni's Elizabeth.

I've known Bebe for years from connections with A Chorus Line and Chicago the Musical, and there's a reason why she's the star she is. Her talent.

One of the hallmarks of Bebe's performances is the focus she has, whether onstage or TV. There's nothing aimless or extraneous about her work. She knows what she's doing.

Look for "Madam Secretary"on CBS this fall.
