Alt-folk singer Michelle Shocked: "Tell people that Michelle Shocked says 'God hates fags'"

Alternative folk singer Michelle Shocked decided to end her career last night when she told a San Francisco concert audience, "You can go on Twitter and tell people that Michelle Shocked says 'God hates fags'." 

According to reports, the audience pretty much cleared the venue after the anti-gay rant. 

Although many in the music press have often identified Shocked as lesbian herself,  it would seem that assumption has now been proved wrong, unless she's gone "ex-gay."
