Speaking of invisible - The Tea Party at the RNC

Did anyone notice that there were no mentions of the Tea Party movement during the prime time speeches at the Republican National convention this week?  Remember when Tea Party was everyone's favorite phrase?

Not a single one of the 38 speakers during the convention's key prime time hours has even mentioned the phrase, according to an examination of their transcripts — a sign both of Romney's own distance from the movement and that polls have suggested that voters view the movement negatively.

At the very least, I expected Tea Party favorite Senator Rand Paul to give a shout out.  Nothing.

Things that make you go "hmm..."

  1. The Koch's, Pete Peterson, and other mega-rich "conservatives," through opinion molders like Freedomworks Matt Kibbie, Dick Armey, Grover Norquist, Glenn Beck, Coulter and Limbaugh, stoked and manipulated a lot of ugly emotions, anger, fear of a Black President, racism, sexism, nativism into a "movement" to cut our general Welfare so the rich can pay even less taxes. Cutting budgets for general welfare, Social Security, etc, food stamps, etc., can never get rid of just the few slackers of all races, etc., who weasel they're way onto the benefits. What it can do is expose all but the richest Americans to greater risk of impoverishment when there's another Panic or they have a costly illness, accident, etc. AND THE LAMESTREAM MEDIA MADE THE TEA PARTY LOOK FORMIDABLE. Tea party extremists are still dangerous to the general welfare. It's time now for the same Lamestream media to help voters get the worst of these TEa Party extremists like Akin and Bachmann back out of office< DEFEATED in 2012.
