JoeMyGod reports that the famous (or infamous) Limelight - which in it's heyday was THE place to party in NYC with it's dance music, go-go boys, and celebs - has now been converted into a shopping mall. While just a bit of the structure remains, Joe reports you can still see where the DJ booth once was.
I went to the Limelight a few times in my early NYC days. Sad to see what once was a bit of the hedonistic center of NYC night life end up so commercial and whitewashed.
Lord, who would have ever guessed?
