Like every day - September 11, 2011
So, here's my plan for the day.
I'm going to get up, get my coffee, read the news websites with Bruno in my lap - like every day.
Then I'm going to watch 10 minutes of coverage about the anniversary of 9/11. The TV in my office goes off after that.
I'm going to watch and post a youtube video of Bette Midler's heart wrenching performance of "Wind Beneath My Wings" from the Yankee Stadium Tribute to those lost on 9/11.
I'm going to take just a couple of minutes to think about all this.
AND THEN -
I'm going to work at my computer.
Like every day.
I'm going to tell my husband I love him.
Like every day.
I'm going to go out and spend money at a locally owned small business.
Like every day.
I'm going to enjoy listening to music, and reading some of my favorite writers.
Like every day.
I'm going to be glad I'm still here.
Like every day.
I'm going to enjoy the freedoms I have.
Like every day.
I'm going to try to think of something I can do to make things even just a little bit better.
Like every day.
People didn't die 10 years ago so we would stop living our lives. And every day, hour or minute we 'stop' means the bad guys win.
So, here's my plan: reflect, honor, and keep moving forward.
Like every day.
No fear, kids.
