Bakery - We Have A Cake Malfunction

openpostcumcake-500x441.jpg

True story - a mother wanted to celebrate her son's graduating with honors from high school.

So, she ordered a cake from her local Publix grocery store.

But things didn't go as planned because the bakery deliberately left off the middle word in "Summa Cum Laude" because the bakery's system thought it was a nasty word.

Thanks to Jesse McLaren - I enjoyed the laugh.

Tuesday Morning Brain Break: Bryan Hawn "Worth It"

Viral video star Bryan Hawn makes the perfect mid- morning "brain break" with his lip-sync video set to the Fifth Harmony track "Worth It."

The hunky fitness model gives you 3 minutes of silly fun dressed in only a bedazzled thong, baseball cap and sneakers, while working a wall of light.

I gotta get back to the gym...

Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles sing "Spider Pig" at last night's "The Simpsons Take the Hollywood Bowl" in Los Angeles.

One of my favorite ridiculous songs from The Simpsons' canon.

80s Aerobic Dance Battle

I'm not sure how exactly this "sells" a Ford Mustang.

I will say my favorite part of the whole video is the crowd and judges. The bopping of heads, the waving in unison... Good times.

Sunday Brunch Rules: Don't be late, you can be 'brunchplaced'

There are rules for Sunday Brunch.

In episode 1 of the new web series Day Drunk Gays, Bryce loses it when his tardiness results in being 'brunchplaced' by claude at the table.

WWHL Green Room Reflections - Anderson Cooper

The Coop gets deep sitting in the Watch What Happens Live green room:

"Last time I was here Cher was here. I wonder what she's doing right now?"

"I wonder if Andy (Cohen) will ever pay his tab at Eastern Bloc? I wonder if I can ask him? So cheap..."

"I can't remember the last time I got drunk on a Monday..."

Olympics: Norwegian Curling team goes pantless

Last week I posted a round-up of some of the different countries' Olympic uniforms for the Sochi Games. Included in that was Team Norway, whose "mod" outfits have drawn comments and criticism.

Now it seems, other teams in the curling competition have complained that the Norwegian's pants are "distracting."

From OUT: "In addition to distracting competing teams, some have raised questions the legality of the pants and if they violate International Olympic Committee (IOC) rules. A debate has started as to whether or not the pants are part of the "official" uniforms provided by the team's home country."

So, in the spirit of cooperation, today the Norwegian Curling team took this picture pantless:

There.

Problem solved.

Fun Friday video: "Snow Bears Happy Twerking "

Very silly but fun video from a couple of guys outside Provincetown on Cape Cod. The snow and cold don't mean nothing to these winter bears.

The lift at the :30 mark made me laugh.

Happy Friday!

Ballet dancer finds out he's being fired; gives up all f*cks

Watch the lion in the background.

As a professional I do not approve.  But as the story goes, this dancer had just found out he was being fired and he decided to go out in a blaze of glory.

As a a viewer, I laughed along. I think this is pretty funny.

America's great national nightmare is over - Kris and Bruce Jenner separate

Does this mean we never have to hear about them ever again?

From E! Online:
Bruce and Kris Jenner have separated after 22 years of marriage.

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the pair exclusively tell E! News.

"But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

Rumors of marital trouble have been shadowing the Jenners for months, but the family has kept a unified front in shutting those stories down.

Bless their hearts, wish them well, but I hope this is the end of all this "Kardashian" balderdash.

Enough!

GOP Senators Ted Cruz and Bob Corker in the most "I'm just curious" debate between two Republicans in a long time

From Dave Weigel over at Slate, we take a peek into the time-wasting, mind-numbing kind of "action" that goes on at the US Senate when time is ticking to keep our government up and running.

The "debate" on the continuing resolution to fund the government, like most Senate debates, has consisted of very little in the way of arguments on the floor. It's more of a time-marking exercise, one that both sides have agreed to truncate in order to force a cloture vote today at 12:30 p.m.

Sen. Ted Cruz has attempted to use this time to prove that there's grassroots support for the only-slightly-complicated plot of filibustering the CR so that Democrats can't add back Obamacare funding via an amendment.

Yesterday afternoon Sen. Bob Corker — a Tennessee Republican who's been outwardly dismissive of this strategy — started quizzing Cruz about how this was supposed to work, and why he voted for the cloture vote to start debate, and ... look, just watch.

Apparently, there was a struggle for Democrats to not laugh out loud at how goofy this entire exchange was between two Republicans as time continued to tick by...

Jimmy Fallon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Stephen Marchant in epic lip-sync competition

Stephen Merchant, Jimmy Fallon, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt hit the stage in a fab lip-sync competition featuring "Single Ladies", "Tiny Dancer", "Take On Me", and "Don't You Want Me" on last night's 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'.

Complete silliness.

So who do you think won?
