The seventh and final season of "True Blood" debuts on HBO Sunday, June 22nd.

Released today - the DVD of "The Sound of Music - LIVE!" starring Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer, featuring Audra McDonald, Laura Benanti and Christian Borle.

I know a lot of people were critical of the endeavor, but many championed the live telecast as getting musical theater in front of a bigger audience.  Plus, many of our Broadway tribe members were employed by the production.

Carrie Underwood to star in LIVE television remake of "The Sound of Music"

Extended trailer for the upcoming LIVE TV presentation of "The Sound of Music" starring Carrie Underwood, Stephen Moyer, Audra McDonald, Christian Borle and Laura Benanti.

I had the chance to work with Stephen Moyer this summer in the Hollywood Bowl production of CHICAGO the Musical and found him to be a great guy.  AND he has a big background in musical theatre that a lot of people don't know about.  Yet.

Looking forward to this - airs Thursday, December 5th at 8PM

Playbill is reporting that "True Blood" star Stephen Moyer will join Grammy winner Carrie Underwood in NBC's live three-hour broadcast of The Sound of Music, which will air in December.

Moyer, who I recently had the privilege of working with in the Hollywood Bowl staging of Chicago, will play Capt. Georg Von Trapp, opposite Underwood as Maria.

While most know Stephen from his TV work, he recently shared with me during the Hollywood Bowl that before TV, he worked extensively in the theater for many years in the UK.  

The classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical will be broadcast Dec. 5.

NBC is partnering with the "Smash" producing team of Craig Zadan and Neil Meron for "The Sound of Music."

A sneak peak at rehearsal's and one-one-one cast and creative team interviews for The Hollywood Bowl's production of CHICAGO.

Brooke Shields, Stephen Moyer, Ashlee Simpson, Samantha Barks, Lucy Lawless all give interviews to Broadway World about this weekend's performances at the Bowl.
