Streisand Visits Her Funny Girl Dressing Room On Broadway

Very sweet moment as Barbra Streisand visits her Funny Girl dressing room on Broadway for the first time in 50 years.

I visited that very dressing room 30 years ago when I was rehearsing for the national touring company of CATS and the Broadway production was playing at the Winter Garden Theater.

Via CBS' "Sunday Morning:"

In this web exclusive, the singer who became a superstar in the 1960s Broadway musical "Funny Girl" visited her old haunts at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City, including the dressing room now occupied by "School of Rock" star Sierra Boggess.

Sunday Showtune: "Part Of Your World"

Check out the beautiful wirework used to simulate swimming from the Japanese production of The Little Mermaid at the Shiki Theatre Company. Beautiful and convincing, although I'm not sure about Ariel's floating hair...?

The Broadway production of the stage show utilized wheelie sneakers to give the illusion the performers were swimming. I've posted a clip from the Broadway show also, just so you can compare.

Added bonus: Broadway featured the fantastic Sierra Boggess as "Ariel" and Norm Lewis as "King Triton."

Broadway PHANTOM'S Norm Lewis and Sierra Boggess for NOH8 campaign

The current stars of Broadway's "Phantom of the Opera" - Norm Lewis and Sierra Boggess - strike a pose for the anti-intolerance campaign NOH8.

I think the word for this is "Phantastic!"
