Rosie O'Donnell On Donald & Ivanka: "I Think He's Been Doing Bad Things With Her"

During an interview segment with SiriusXM host Michelangelo Signorile, Rosie O’Donnell shared her thoughts on Donald Trump’s relationship with his daughter Ivanka, as well as Ivanka's 'public service' working in the White House and a possible future run for president.

“I don’t know what he’s doing with her,” said O’Donnell “I think he’s been doing bad things with her for a very long time. There’s a creepy incest feel that is a very prevalent amongst Donald Trump and his children, at least his daughter. Very creepy. I don’t know."

"I think she’s like, you know, a talentless, non-intelligent, non-powerful woman. And, I think she’s...it’s laughable to think of her in any kind of public service role. No one in his family has ever been in public service. Why should they start now?”

Rosie doesn't cite any particular instance between Trump and his daughter, although many in the public square have noted various statements by the Donald about his daughter that seemed to step into queasy territory.

• FX has announced that the second season of Pose will premiere June 9 at 9pm. The network also confirmed that the second season will time jump to 1990 with vogueing about to the day Madonna released her music video for "Vogue," causing the ball culture to "reevaluate their goals."

• Rosie O'Donnell says she greatly regrets giving Ladies Who Punch author Ramin Setoodeh 20 minutes of her time. Rosie O'Donnell: "Everyone Sort Of Knew" About Whitney Houston's Same-Sex Romance With Robyn Crawford

During a recent appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, Rosie O'Donnell told Andy Cohen that she knew about Whitney Houston's longtime romance with Robyn Crawford.

"Everyone sort of knew it," said O'Donnell, who also expressed surprise that Houston recording empresario Clive Davis had feigned ignorance about the relationship. “I don’t believe that for one minute,” she said.

For those who aren't aware, after each performance of the new parody musical DISASTER, the cast is having guest stars come up on stage and perform to help raise money for Broadway Cares (my favorite charity which helps countless men and women with HIV/AIDS) as a "bonus" to the DISASTER experience.

Rosie O's lyrics (penned by herself and Seth Rudetsky) are pretty clever.

Rosie O'Donnell To Leave THE VIEW - Again

Following a split with wife Michelle Rounds, Rosie O'Donnell has announced she will leave her co-hosting duties at The View.

“The View” has been in a state of turmoil since last May when founding anchor Barbara Walters signed off of the roundtable 11 a.m. talker and Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd also left the panel. O’Donnell was recruited back to the show, which she co-hosted in the 2006-07 with much turmoil behind the scenes, along with newcomers Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace. Whoopi Goldberg, the show’s moderator and only returning member of the panel this season, is said to have butted heads with O’Donnell behind the scenes, as well as on-air.

Sources close to the situation said O’Donnell had been struggling with the stress related to her divorce as well as the pressure on “The View” set. The show’s lineup opened strongly in the ratings in September but viewership quickly tailed off. There has been much discussion at ABC about making further changes or additions among the hosts. Sources close to the situation suggested that O’Donnell decided to jump, citing her personal reasons, before she had to face the prospect of getting pushed.

“Rosie is an immensely talented star who comes in each and every morning brimming with ideas, excitement and passion for the show,” ABC said in a statement. “When she told us she wanted to exit ‘The View,’ we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first. We’re delighted she’s still part of the ABC family with upcoming guest appearances on ‘The Fosters,’ and we know she’ll return to ‘The View’ often with her unique point of view and updates on her work and her family.”

Rosie talks to Ramin Setoodeh about returning to the gabfest after her famous exit from The View in 2007.

The colorful and outspoken comedian will board the Hot Topics table for the show’s 18th season premiere Sept. 15. It’s a big gamble, which O’Donnell herself acknowledges — she signed only a one-year (albeit multimillion-dollar) contract so she can bail if the show devolves into another train wreck. If it works, she’ll be daytime’s new comeback kid at 52.

“I think it’s going to be must-see TV,” O’Donnell says over a plate of cookies at Sarabeth’s on a New York afternoon. “My goal is to come in peace. And the contrast between what the show will be and what it was is going to be glaring.”

Interestingly, the new panel of co-hosts met for the first time this week - only a week before going on the air.

Rosie O'Donnell in talks to return to The View

Last month came the news that ABC's The View released Sherri Shepard and Jenny McCarthy from the show. Now sources say Rosie O'Donnell could be coming back to the show with a deal that would be for a one-year/seven figures contract. AND Rosie wants to approve who her co-hosts would be.

We hear terms of her deal would include her appearing full-time on the show alongside Whoopi Goldberg, and O’Donnell will also get “approval over offers to other co-hosts.”

But according to a source, Rosie wants a stipulation that no other reality stars can be slotted as co-hosts, (so Bethenny Frankel’s agent should stop pitching). The deal would bring O’Donnell back after a rocky exit in 2007 after just one season.

I stopped watching the show years ago. Elisabeth Hasselbeck made the show unwatchable, and since then it just became even worse, although I do like Whoopi.  Hasselbeck called into Fox & Friends from vacation to rant about O'Donnell's possible return to The View, saying that Rosie had spit in the face of the US military.  You can watch the clip here:

Rumors also are flying that Sarah Palin, former half-term governor of Alaska, would like to join the group. Not sure if she qualifies as a "reality" show star since I'm not sure she understands true reality, but we shall see...

Rosie O'Donnell to receive special 2014 Tony Award for her support of the arts

The Hollywood Reporter shares that Rosie O'Donnell has been announced as this year's recipient of the Isabelle Stevenson Award.

The honor is awarded each year at the Tony Awards to "an individual from the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations, regardless of whether such organizations relate to the theatre."

O'Donnell was chosen for the 2014 award in recognition of her commitment to arts education for New York City public school children and her establishment of the nonprofit arts education foundation Rosie's Theater Kids (originally known as Rosie's Broadway Kids), which provides students with training in dance, music and drama, mentoring programs and exposure to professional theater.

"Rosie exemplifies the spirit and the generosity of the Broadway community through her "pay it forward" mentality within the arts community and beyond," said Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League and Heather Hitchens, executive director of the American Theatre Wing.

Rosie O'Donnell handles homophobic street preacher

In a YouTube clip that was allegedly shot during the Super Bowl but is now making the rounds online, Rosie O'Donnel being taunted by a homophobic street "preacher" — he calls her a "lesbian pig," an "ungodly wicked woman" who is on her "way to hell" — and she briefly interacts with him in her own brand of "Rosie talk."

What pushes her over the edge? When he says, "You need to go home and do the dishes—that's your job." So, she responds: "I'm going to go home and f*ck my wife."

The Rosie Show cancelled after one season

The Rosie Show, Rosie O'Donnell's talk series, has been canceled by OWN after one season with the final episode scheduled to air on March 30, reports Deadline.

“I thank Rosie from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey. She has been an incredible partner, working to deliver the best possible show every single day,” Oprah Winfrey says in a statement. “As I have learned in the last 15 months, a new network launch is always a challenge and ratings grow over time as you continue to gather an audience. I’m grateful to Rosie and the dedicated Rosie Show team for giving it their all.”

The series, which premiered last October, frequently covered LGBT issues, including the recent Kirk Cameron controversy, but struggled in the ratings.

“I loved working with Oprah in the amazing city of Chicago,” O’Donnell says. “I was welcomed with open arms and will never forget the kindness of all I encountered. It was a great year for me – I wish the show was able to attract more viewers – but it did not. So I am headed back to my home in New York – with gratitude. On we go!”

Rosie O'Donnell calls Kirk Cameron out for his "unchristlike" shaming of gays.

Rosie says if homosexuality was unnatural to gay people, "we wouldn't be gay."

Cameron appeared on Piers Morgan's CNN talk show and when asked his opinion of homosexuality, said it's "unnatural." He continued, saying, "I think that it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization."
