Justin Timberlake To LGBT Youth: "Being Different Means You Make The Difference"

Accepting his trophy at the IHeartRadio Awards last night for Song of the Year, "Can't Stop the Feeling," pop star Justin Timberlake had a message of inclusion for his young LGBT fans:

“I wrote this song because I wanted it to be about inclusion, about being together. I guess I want to take this opportunity and speak to young people right now cause there’s a lot of you looking at me.

“If you are black, or you are brown, or you are gay, or you are lesbian, or you are trans, or maybe you’re just a sissy singing boy from Tennessee. Anyone who has treated you unkindly, it’s only because they are afraid or they have been taught to be afraid of how important you are.

“Because being different means you make the difference. So, f**k ‘em.”

New Music: Justin Timberlake "Can't Stop The Feeling"

Here's a prediction not based on politics: Justin Timberlake's new single - "Can't Stop The Feeling" - is certain to hit it big this summer on the radio.

With smooth vocals, pop-y syncopated rhythms, and a chorus that tells you to "dance, dance, dance," it's a sure bet the song (from the soundtrack of Timberlake's upcoming movie, Trolls) will be everywhere.

The 9-time Grammy Award winner throws in some of his signature falsetto, along with groovy bass beat, which gives the track some Michael Jackson-infused funk.

Love it.

New video for the first single "Love Never Felt So Good" from the new Michael Jackson album XSCAPE.

The video cuts focus on Michael Jackson's famous dance moves. Timberlake wisely avoids recreating the steps, but he drops some of the Jackson style on us.

You can definitely imagine this song being from Jackson's Off The Wall era. The video context helps the song, in my opinion.

XSCAPE is an album of previously unreleased Michael Jackson songs. The album is produced and curated by Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid, who retooled the production to add a fresh, contemporary sound that retains Jackson's essence and integrity. It's a process Reid calls "contemporizing."

The hugely anticipated Michael Jackson-Justin Timberlake duet "Love Never Felt So Good" has arrived on the internet via Justin Timberlake's Twitter account.  The song is from the upcoming MJ posthumous album Xscape.

There is also a MJ solo version of the song.  Listen here.

The song was written in 1983 in a session with Paul Anka and Kathy Wakefield. In 1984 Johnny Mathis released a version.

NSYNC to (maybe) reunite tonight at MTV Video Music Awards

Will they or won't they? Rumors are running wild that 90s boy band NSYNC will reunite at tonight's VMAs on MTV.

Fueling the fire is a newly opened Twitter account that sends first tweet - "Mic check, mic check one.. two... is this thing on?!"

I freely admit I was a boy-band fan of the 90s. Lots of fun music came out of it, and I love that it's coming around again now.

Watch the VMAs to see if Justin Timberlake reunites with his former band-mates.

These fans were assembled under the idea that they were going to help announce Target's exclusive deal to release the physical CD of Justin Timberlake's CD "The 20/20 Experience."

I think what's most interesting is how they react to seeing JT one on one. We're so used to seeing fans react "en masse" but when you're one on one? Whole different experience.

Made me laugh.  Fun video.

Right after the Grammy Awards, Justin Timberlake released a new song - "Mirrors" - from his upcoming "return to the music world" album THE 20/20 EXPERIENCE.

Thoughts? Who's excited about the song? The CD? Or not?

Justin Timberlake is "ready" - to release new music

Justin Timberlake released this video today to explain his absence from the recording studio and also to announce that he is set to record a new Timbaland-produced album, and that the first single, featuring Jay-Z and Beyoncé, will be released on Monday.

Excited?

Wondering if this might push the "other" Justin (Beiber) to the sidelines a bit?

We shall see.

The new MySpace

Justin Timberlake, with a group of investors, bought the tired MySpace and has given it a complete revamp.

With an interface that looks a bit like Facebook-meets-Instagram, with hints of Pinterest and Windows 8, we watch as Croft clicks through his photos and then his "Mixes," which include a series of playlists organized under such headings as songs with rain in the title, songs to play while you're downtown and a list with just cover tunes.

The "Jake's Housewarming" playlist, for instance, features songs by M.I.A., Lykke Li, Daft Punk and the Cure, along with a gallery of photos from the event.

The "Connections" tab takes you to a photo gallery of your Myspace friends, with, ahem, a big photo of Timberlake and a plug for his new movie, "Trouble With the Curve."

It looks cool. And Timberlake brings the cool quotient up.

Justin Timberlake to portray Elton John in bio-pic?

Justin Timberlake may be dressing in lavish costumes, platform shoes, and outlandish eyeglasses if Elton John gets his way. The singer-actor is apparently Elton John’s number one choice to star in a planned musical based on the veteran entertainer’s life.

John says he has compiled a list of actors he'd like to see play him in the planned musical film. "No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of 'Rocket Man' and was superb," he says.

The performer says he may write new songs for the film, but it will mostly utilize his vast catalog of hits to tell his unconventional story. "Because it's going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a Moulin Rouge!" John reveals. "I just don't want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn't been like that. And it only goes up to when I go into rehab in 1990. It starts with me going into rehab and ends when I come out."

John says he has a screenplay written by Billy Elliot's Lee Hall and a director he's excited about and plans to announce soon.
