First Look: "Into The Woods"

The first trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's "Into The Woods" has been released and it looks fantastic.

Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp and Emily Blunt are among the stars with direction by the fab Rob Marshall.

"Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them."

Anna Kendrick on SNL: "Dongs All Over The World"

Anna Kendrick hosted SNL last night and although she recently talked about giving musical performances a break, that was not the case last night.

One musical sketch, "Dongs All Over the World," featured some of SNL's sassiest -- Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, and Sasheer Zamata -- joining Kenrick in a tune about traveling the globe in search of international "dongs."

Think Justin Timberlake humor, but from a wacked out "Nasty Girls" angle.

Trailer: Pitch Perfect - opens October 5th

Pitch Perfect, the debut feature from Avenue Q director Jason Moore, is a new comedy about the competition world of collegiate a capella singers. Think along the lines of a GLEE version of Bring It On and Mean Girls.

The film stars Twilight's Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson from Bridesmaids as members of the all-female group.

I spent some time with Rebel Wilson early this year at the premiere of her film A Few Best Men and it was obvious from her performances AND her intelligence that she is clearly someone to watch.

Pitch Perfect will be released in theaters October 5.
