Ace Young & Diana DeGarmo to star in national tour of JOSEPH & AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT

Via Press Release: Broadway and television star Diana DeGarmo and Broadway star Ace Young will head up the cast of the new touring production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. The new tour will launch at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH, on March 4, 2014.

Husband-and-wife team Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo first met when they shared the Broadway stage in the 2009 revival of HAIR. "I am so excited to star as 'Joseph' alongside Diana," said Ace. "It's great to be back! I too am so excited to star alongside Ace in the very role I once looked up to years ago as a child in the choir," added Diana.

One of the most enduring shows of all time, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. The first collaboration of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion King), JOSEPH blends pop, country and rock into an uplifting, techni-colored story of biblical proportions.

May 13 - 18, 2014 Durham Performing Arts Center, Durham, NC

May 27 - June 1, 2014 San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, San Jose, CA

June 3 - 22, 2014 Pantages Theatre, Los Angeles, CA

June 24 - 29, 2014 Civic Theatre, San Diego, CA

Additional cities and full casting will be announced at a later date.

Ace Young & Diana DeGarmo, of American Idol fame, marry in LA

Last year Michael introduced me to Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo, the first couple of American Idol.

Ace famously proposed to Diana on the season finale of American Idol last year, and yesterday we were lucky to be invited to attend their gorgeous wedding in Los Angeles.

In front of 250 guests, including fellow Idol alums Elliot Yamin, Michael Johns and Kevin Covais, and Idol coach (and friend for years) Michael Orland. Diana's brother David returned from Afghanistan to walk her down the aisle making the ceremony that much more emotional.

People are what make a wedding the celebration that it is, and the people in attendance were some of the most fun I've met in a long time. Not only did we celebrate with Ace and Diana, but met up with my friend Tracy Powell (who I've worked with in the theater) and her fab "plus one" Dee Hoty of Broadway fabulousness. AND I spent much of the night with the Montoyas - Lori and Ron and fab sis Lisa Krause - of "Sin City Rules" and Rain Cosmetics fame.

Gorgeous people, gorgeous wedding, gorgeous night.

Las Vegas: Ace Young surprises fiance Diana DeGarmo at Chippendales

You never know who or what will happen in Las Vegas.

Ace Young,  singer and Idol alum – who surprised fellow alum and girlfriend Diana DeGarmo with a proposal on the American Idol finale last year – shocked her again in Las Vegas on Friday.

DeGarmo, 25, was celebrating her bachelorette party with the Chippendales at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, when Young, 32, made a guest appearance on stage.

"I can't believe Ace surprised me again," DeGarmo tells PEOPLE. "I am so beyond lucky to have my best friend always keeping me on my toes no matter where we are."

Ace treated Miss Diana with a song (and a lap dance!) while she was blindfolded on stage. One thing that didn't surprised her? How her man nailed his performance.

"Ace is the sexiest man alive so he fit in perfectly with the Chippendales," says DeGarmo. "He also rocked that bowtie and cuffs like nobody's business. He might have another calling in Vegas one day!"

2012 AFAN Black & White Party with Ace Young & Diana DeGarmo

Great gala event in Las Vegas last night as Aid for AIDS Nevada held one of their largest fund-raising events of the year - The Black & White Ball.

Many of Las Vegas' top headlining performers showed up to wow the audience at the Nirvana Pool at the Hard Rock Hotel was transformed into an unforgettable party atmosphere, with a sea of people dressed in black and white, all with the common goal to fight HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada. The party began at 9pm and attendees were treated to tastings from some of Las Vegas’ premier restaurant and spirit vendors.

A special surprise was Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, former American Idol finalists and now leading Broadway and music artists in their own right, took to the stage for a rousing "Any Way You Want It.' See my iPhone video above.

The event expertly moved along by host Jaymes Vaughan, and we were also treated to an appearance by US Senate candidate Shelley Berkley, a longtime ally of the LGBT community.
