Highlights (Lowlights?) From Donald Trump's '60 Minutes' Interview

Donald Trump

Donald Trump's sit-down with 60 Minutes reporter Lesley Stahl last night provided several eye-brow raising moments for the American public.

Oh goodness, where to begin?

After telling his supporters at campaign rallies that he and Kim Jong Un "fell in love" and that he really gets along great with him, Stahl brought up some of the most notorious aspects of the North Korean dictator's resume.

When Stahl brings up Trump mocking Dr. Christine Blasey Ford on the campaign trail, asking if he thinks he treated Ford with respect, Trump diverts with a simple, "It doesn't matter - we won."

Eventually, Trump could tell the chat wasn't going well. He finally got snippy telling the veteran reporter, "Lesley, it's ok. In the meantime, I'm president and you're not."

Olivia Newton-John Sits Down With 60 Minutes Australia

This thoughtful and insightful interview by 60 Minutes Australia with pop music icon, Olivia Newton-John last night in Australia.

In addition to being a fan, I'm lucky to count Olivia as a friend. She was very supportive during my own cancer journey, and this in depth interview highlights some of the work she's done on behalf of those affected by cancer.

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Center not only treats the bodies of cancer patients, but the mind and spirit as well with wellness programs like meditation, yoga, art and music therapies and more. Over the past decade, Olivia has helped raise over $200 million to make the center a reality.

She also discusses other aspects of her life: her husband, John; her daughter, Chloe; "the pants" from Grease; and yes, the disappearance of Patrick McDermott over a decade ago.

It's a really good, balanced look at a superstar who's has remained centered and clear-eyed about who she is and what she has to offer a changing world.

Her new album, written and recorded with Amy Sky and Beth Neilsen Chapman - LIV ON - drops October 7th.

And here's a "web bonus" from 60 Minutes Australia:

Highlights (Lowlights?) From First Donald Trump/Mike Pence Interview

2016 presidential ticket Donald Trump (L) and Mike Pence (R)

A few highlights from the very first interview of Donald Trump with his newly-minted running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence from last night's 60 Minutes on CBS.

It comes as no surprise that Trump dominated the discussion throughout, leaving Pence only the occasional smile and nod.

One of the more curious moments is when CBS News'' Lesley Stahl points out that Pence voted for the Iraq war, something that Trump has repeatedly criticized Democrat Hillary Clinton for.

Trump seems to ignore the contradiction.

Trump: "He's entitled to make a mistake every now and then."

Stahl: "But she's not???"

You can watch the full interview here.
