Lana Del Rey drops this dreamy, LSD-inspired music video for "Freak," featuring furry Father John Misty’s J. Tillman. "Freak" is the latest single off the singer's 2015 LP Honeymoon.
From Stereogum:
The saga begins with the two musicians hiking out to the wilderness to drop acid and literally drink the Kool-Aid, and the rest is an impressionistic haze of sensuality. Fittingly, things delve into actual impressionism in the second half of the 11-minute clip, as Lana’s song ends and Claude Debussy’s “Clair de Lune” comes on to soundtrack the women from the “Music To Watch Boys To” video cavorting around underwater.
Fully half of the music video is a floaty, underwater swim set to Debussy's famous tune.
At a Los Angeles screening of the music video last night, Father John Misty admitted that the acid-themed video was partially inspired by an LSD experience while attending a Taylor Swift concert in Australia.
