I'm attending the 2014 National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association conference in Chicago this week, and the big event for me is today's luncheon with out NBA-er, Jason Collins.
And when I say "big" I mean it.
Jason was very warm and personable to everyone. After lunch, he spoke playing in the NBA after his now famous coming out and how he felt about the media coverage.
You've never seen so many gays rush to take a pic with an athlete in your life :)
I recorded Jason's chat. Really fascinating to hear the process of coming out, and how he sees life from the "other side" now.
