Russia wins first gold of Sochi Olympics with first ever Team Figure Skating event

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulates Team Russia on first gold medal of Sochi Olympics

Russia finally found it's first gold medal of the Sochi Olympics by winning the new event Team Figure Skating.

Russia won with a total of 75 points in the event. Team Canada took silver with 65 points, and Team USA placed third with 60 points.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was on hand to congratulate the Russian team.
