Documentary: "Me @ the zoo"
I have to admit I wasn't initially interested in this film, the documentary entitled "Me @ The Zoo," which premiered last winter at Sundance.
It's been picked up by HBO, and debuts on there on Tuesday, at 9 p.m.
What changed my mind was watching the video above where the movie's creators discuss the true nature of the film: a meditation on internet celebrity and how social media begins to shape our online personas.
Suddenly I'm curious to see how they shape and share the story of Chris Crocker, best known for his "Leave Britney Alone" video, which now has over 43 million views on youtube.
Hit HBO this Tuesday to see how it all shakes out. Now I'm intrigued.
