Matt Bomer of "White Collar" comes out while accepting award
"White Collar" actor Matt Bomer was given the New Generation Arts and Activism Award from the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards for his work in the fight again HIV/AIDS. In his acceptance speech, he said, "And I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment."
The actor, who will soon guest as the brother of Darren Criss's character on an episode of "Glee", will also appear with George Clooney and Jesse Tyler Ferguson in the March 3 staged reading of Dustin Lance Black's play "8", which is adapted from transcripts of the landmark Proposition 8 trial that made same-sex marriage illegal.
