For the first time in 27 years, the imminently watchable and always fantastic Lily Tomlin stars in a feature film - Grandma.

The film was screened on the final night of the Sundance Film Festival to excellent response (no surprise). Sony has purchased the distribution rights.

The cast of Grandma includes Sam Elliot, Marcia Gay Harden and Julia Garner as Lily's granddaughter. The flick was written and directed by Academy Award nominee Paul Weitz (American Pie, About A Boy).

Deadline writes that the film is "a darkly funny and also touching film of one long day in the life of one very frayed family."

One of our great national treasures, Tomlin's work is always insightful, inspiring and razor-sharp.

Trailer: Drunktown's Finest

Independent feature film, Drunktown's Finest, following an acclaimed run on the festival circuit, is coming to theaters this season. Presented by executive producer Robert Redford, the film will open in New York City at the Quad Cinema on February 20, in Los Angeles at the Arena Cinema on February 27 and follow in select markets over the coming weeks.

Drunktown's Finest premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, winning the Grand Jury Prize for Best Dramatic Narrative. In addition, the film was awarded HBO Best First Feature awards at Outfest 2014, as well as Best Film at the American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco.

Synopsis: Drunktown's Finest is the coming-of-age story of three young Native Americans - a college-bound Christian girl raised by white parents, a rebellious and lost father-to-be, and an aspiring transsexual model - as they struggle to escape the hardships of life on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico.

As the three find their lives becoming more complicated and their troubles growing, their paths begin to intersect. With little in common other than a shared heritage, they soon learn that the key to overcoming their obstacles may come from the most unlikely of sources, each other.

James Franco's "Interior. Leather Bar." opens at Sundance

From the YouTube description: The 1980 film Cruising, starring Al Pacino as an undercover cop investigating a murder in the New York City gay, leather, bar scene, was plagued with controversy, and its director was forced by the Motion Picture Association of America to cut 40 minutes of sexually explicit material. Those 40 minutes have never been screened publicly.

Filmmakers James Franco and Travis Mathews set out to reimagine what might have transpired in those lost scenes in this intriguing film about the making of a film.

Opens at Sundance Film Festival this weekend.

Franco is also debuting a new documentary this weekend at Sundance - "Kink" - for which he is the Executive Producer.
