Miley Cyrus spoofs herself on SNL

Hosting SNL last night, Miley Cyrus took her infamous VMA performance head-on, with her "future" self coming back in time to confront "present" Miley warning her performance would begin the fall of America in the future.



Cyrus also spoofed her hit "We Can't Stop" with a Republican "party" version called "We Did Stop (The Government)" and with Cyrus playing an out-of-control Michele Bachmann (sans Marcus), partying with House Speaker John Boehner.

Miley Cyrus "unfollows" Liam Hemsworth in virtual breakup

Seriously now.

First of all, Miley Cyrus is a hot mess these days.  About the only thing going for her is she's at least dating "Thor's brother" - Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth.

And now she apparently "sent a signal" to the world that she's dumping him by "unfollowing" him on Twitter.

This stuff is so silly.

After the VMA's this year where she "twerked" on Robin Thicke, she should be happy he's still around

Miley Cyrus & Robin Thicke perform LIVE at 2013 VMAs

So, on the day after, this is the performance everyone is talking about. And not in a good way.

Bless Robin Thicke for his courage to take part in this. He does look pretty studly in his suit and sunglasses.

But Miley, Miley, Miley - this is the kind of thing when you go for "edgy" but fall off the cliff. From The Hollywood Reporter:

Miley Cyrus climbed out of a giant teddy bear, sticking her tongue out of the side of her mouth.

She then strutted around the stage, accompanied by dancers wearing giant teddy bears, performing her controversial single "We Can't Stop."

Sporting a furry bustier designed to look like a mouse, the 20-year-old singer at one point grabbed the rear end of one of her dancers before bending over to shake her own behind at the audience.

MTV also bleeped the word "molly" in her song, which is believed to be a reference to Ecstasy.

Cyrus then stripped down to a flesh-colored two-piece to join Robin Thicke for the beginning of his performance of "Blurred Lines," alternating lines with the R&B crooner.

She also danced around him suggestively, touching him and herself with a foam finger, and bending over in front of him and shaking her rear end.

Thicke wore a Beetlejuice-esque black-and-white vertical striped suit during his performance while his dancers held up posters of champagne and a fancy watch.

After "Blurred Lines," Thicke then segued into his new single "Give It 2 U" while Cyrus remained on stage dancing suggestively with her foam finger.

Miley Cyrus on equal rights and same-sex marriage

In Glamour magazine, Cyrus opens up about why it is so important for her to be a supporter of equal rights, and acknowledged the backlash her tattoo had caused.

“Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn't marry,” she said. “And you couldn't have that special day the way your friends do—you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person's shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.”

The actress explains that she feels that taking away rights in the gay community makes for a difficult living situation as a couple since they wouldn't be granted the same security. She says it's not too different from stripping rights in the black community.

“I believe every American should be allowed the same rights and civil liberties,” she added. “Without legalized same-sex marriage, most of the time you cannot share the same health benefits, you are not considered next of kin and you are not granted the same securities as a heterosexual couple. How is this different than having someone sit in the back of the bus because of their skin color? ...We all should be tolerant of one another and embrace our differences.”

Miley Cyrus - a self-proclaimed "stoner"?

Miley Cyrus is a self-proclaimed "stoner?"

The Hannah Montana star turned 19 on Nov. 23, and celebrated with a birthday party thrown by pal Kelly Osbourne at Beacher's Madhouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

In a video of the private bash obtained by The Daily, Cyrus seemingly admits to being a fan of smoking marijuana.

"This is amazing," she says of a cake baked to look like known pot-smoker Bob Marley, which Osbourne presented to her friend. "You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a 'Bob Miley' cake. You know you smoke way too much f––ing weed."

Osbourne then takes the mic and tells the birthday girl, "I thought salvia was your problem, Miley."

While celebrating her 18th birthday last year, Cyrus was seen smoking salvia, a legal herb with hallucinogenic effects, from a bong at a party.

A rep for Cyrus responded Monday to the latest incident, saying, "This is so ridiculous. The cake was a joke, and Miley was being sarcastic."

And Osbourne Tweeted about it – concurring it was a joke: "let me make something very clear after @MileyCyrus salvia incident we started calling her bob miley as a JOKE!" she wrote.

Miley Cyrus Blasts Santorum, Urban Outfitters

Pop singer Miley Cyrus took to Twitter last week to blast antigay presidential hopeful Rick Santorum, and contributions that have bolstered his campaign.

Cyrus tweeted, “IF WE ALLOW GAY MARRIAGE NEXT THING U KNOW PEOPLE WILL BE MARRYING GOLD FISH’ – Rick Santorum UO contributed $13,000 to this mans campaign.”

She was referring to Urban Outfitters, headed up by Richard Hayne, the company's conservative president, who has been known to give campaign dollars to right-wing politicians and causes.

She added, “Not only do they steal from artists but every time you give them money you help finance a campaign against gay equality.”

Santorum plans to launch his Republican primary campaign on June 6.
